sorcerers of death's construction
in the fields the bodies burning
as the war machine keeps turning
death and hatred to mankind
poisoning their brainwashed minds, oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
they only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'till their judgement day comes, yeah!

Now in darkness, world stops turning
ashes were the bodies burning
No more war pigs of the power
Hand of god has struck the hour
Day of judgement, god is calling
on their knees, the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings

OH LORD YEAH!

I'm not saying that I don't like Eminem's music, but you guys who think his lyrics are musical genious... I disagree.

Nas Verses/Quotes/Lines

"Life's a bitch/ but God forbid the bitch divorce me / I'll be flooded with ice /
so hell fire can't scorch me."

"Love changes, a thug changes, and best friends become strangers....."

-From Jadakiss -"Why Remix"

"Yo 'Kiss they wanna hide from the truth, its ya comrade Nas, right here lets go
Roll or not Blood of a panther
Why is the question, what is the answer?
Got a suggestion here's an example
Why don?t we build our own airlines, states, and highways?
Fly to Africa do some trades with Zimbabwe?
Why did Malcom?s misson die with the man?
Why aint we pick it up where he left it and carry out his plan?
Why the merger try to exclude L.A Reid?
He brought you usher, outkast, top selling CDs.
Why do half of America got aids?
Why do schools care bout ur sons braids more then they care for his grades?
Why do they hate our white t-shirts and hats turned backwards?
And why is Jesus Christ never played by black actors?
And why aint there an MC that can touch me nor budge me?
And why is the Nas the best thing in rap since Chuck D?
And why this record aint sell 5 million? Jada?s as real as it get
Put my money where my mouth is and do something bout this.
"

-From Verbal Intercourse (Only Built 4 Cuban Linx)

"Through the lights cameras and action, glamour glitters and gold
I unfold the scroll, plant seeds to stampede the globe
When I'm deceased, by then the beast arise like yeast
to conquer peace leaving savages to roam in the streets
Live on the run, police paying me to give in my gun
Trick my Wisdom, with the system that imprisoned my son
Smoke a gold leaf I hold heat, nonchalantly
I'm grungy, but things I do is real it never haunts me
while, funny style niggaz roll in the pile
Rooster heads profile on a bus to Riker's Isle
Holdin weed inside they pussy with they minds on the
pretty things in life, props is a true thug's wife
It's like a cycle, niggaz come home, some'll go in
Do a bullet, come back, do the same sh1t again
From the womb to the tomb, presume the unpredictable
Guns salute life, rapidly, that's the ritual
"

Eminem may be good but he is a sellout and makes pop songs.
Nas has been in it for 10 years and he hasn't sold out.

Nas>Eminem any day.
Illmatic>Any Em album any day.

heh, ill add one of my favorite nas verses... from 'ghetto prisoners rise':
As the night close down on the Earth like gray dark rings
Light of cities in the nights, destination for Kings
with big dreams, like Castro, overthrew Bautista
from Cuba, and pointed nukes toward the U.S.
About to shoot us for revolution; that's how you gotta move
A lot of rules, some locked in solitude
Curse the day of they birth confused, who's to be praised?
The mighty dollar -- or almighty Allah
I'm like the farmer, plantin words, people are seeds
My truth is the soil; help you grow like trees
May the children come in all colors, change like leaves
but hold before you, one of those, prophetic MC's
with blunted flows, seven hundred souls in me
Each channelin, from past to present times, heaven shines
light on those, innocent to how the world grows
Some men become murderers, and some girls become hoes
And you accounted for, everything that you heard
Do not speak to fools; they scorn the wisdom of your words
My heart is wise, bloodshot eyes, the saga never dies
Ghetto prisoners rise rise rise.

Any kind of Network Storage whether it is a NAS or a SAN is better than eminem, but he's still decent sometimes.

He never joined Murder Inc.

He might have made some songs with them, but he never joined them.

Did he make pop songs with them? No.

Even when Nas was with Murder Inc He > Anyone alive including Eminem.

You wanna talk about selling out? Look at D-12 and Eminem's Pop songs. Now that's what I call sellout.

I love it when celebrities preach morals and politics, when most of them have had PLENTY of run ins with the law.

By the way, you have embarassed the word genius by using it in this thread.

So he did join them?

Pop isn't necessarily selling out.

I'm just curious as to how good / bad Kerry will do. We've already seen Bush's retarded side for 4 years I don't want to see it for another 4.

Uh. Pop is selling out if you're a rapper.

Eminem is supposed to be a rapper. Rapper's dont make pop songs and dress up like Madonna or Michael Jackson while singing some gay anthem that gets people to buy their album.

Nas didn't "Join" Murder Inc as in signing papers and everything. He has his own record label (kind of) named Ill Will from Sony and he named it after his best friend that died. I doubt he would leave it.

I was legitimately confused about the wording of the joining murder inc. stuff. I don't pay much attention to rap, especially ones that name themselves after computer technology.

Pop was probably considered selling out in any/every genre until someone proved you can do it without selling out. And yes, it is possible.

Wow....

Naming himself after computer technology? Where did you learn that?

Nas is abbreviated for Nasir (his real name).

And the name Nasir was probably created ages before the computer term "NAS"

--- Lol @ Rapper naming himself after computer technolgy. :D

You know, I don't like rap, but I'll own up to liking a few Eminem tracks. I may not always agree with the subject matter, but it's a refreshing change from pimpin' hos and doin' lines.

I was flipping channels and of course I see a G-Unit video... every scene in the vid was them intentionally showing off the bling... the rims, the rings, the platinum necklaces, the G-Unit shoes... you gotta be kidding me. Does this kinda flagrant display actually appeal to anyone ? I've seen bling videos many times but I can't help but keep watching when they're on... can't stop shaking my head.

 I like Em, and i bought two of his CD's, but completly for entertainment value. If you believe a spit of anything a Celebrity says about his view on politcs, you shouldn't be voting. This whole "Draft" thing has been going on since 9/11 and it hasn't even risin yet.

Eminem has acknowledged that he sold out.

Here's a quote from him:
"One thing I won?t do is put out another song like 'My Name Is,' his breakthrough hit. 'I can't stand that fvcking song' he says. 'This album is rawer. Fans looking for bubblegum rap aren't going to get it here." - On the Slim Shady EP

And although he was a hyprocrit for putting out some "poppish" songs after that quote, he's not stupid.
He knows that's what brings in the sales. But he's not lying when he says he doesn't like those kinds of songs.
