I joined Post and gotta say I'm impressed. It's like the place where the adults are talking. I hope it manages to stay that as it grows without having to enforce too much moderation.

Yeah, it's got a very ... different feel to it. Lots of media types as far as the % of former blue checks. Haven't seen as many pure entertainment (comedians, authors actors, etc.) yet but that will come.

Definitely feels like the grownup table though.

That’s not interesting or notable.

It is funny to watch Musk and conservatives desperately looking for some moderation scandal though. Again, Twitter could ban all conservatives and there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s their platform and their right.

Conservative snowflakes like you just can’t handle private property rights if those people don’t coddle you. It’s time to grow up.

But, and this is important, twitter never did ban all conservatives because that would have ruinous to its business model. Just like Musk is rapidly discovering by chasing away twitter's liberal customer base.
Worse than that though, by banning mainstream journalists for doing nothing more than reporting on the very news he generates, he has destroyed twitter's credibility.

And as for modern conservatives growing up... these are people who as adults still whine and cry cheater when and only when they lose. So good luck with that.

Can't take my eyes off this trainwreck.
I think I commented earlier in this thread that I have a fascination with youtube dashcam videos. It's wrong I know. But at the same time there's no feeling of guilt either. I couldn't stop any of that shit no matter how hard I wanted to. This is no different really.

No, this is where they shift into the "but it's a private company, isn't that what you said? So it's fine". mentality. Same as every single time the tables turn. They don't care that the hypocrisy is the issue, not the first amendment.

I've always said that I have no problems, and fully support, banning accounts that do not abide by the rules. Those like Trump, Kanye, etc. deserve to be banned.

Twitter, like Facebook, Instagram, and other similar sites are private business entities. While publicly accessible, they are not news media outlets, nor are they public spaces. Your freedom of speech was never violated if you got banned from these platforms. You're free to create a rival platform, website, or whatever, and spew your nonsense.

This means that Musk, as the owner of Twitter, can ban whoever he wants, whenever he wants, and with no explanation whatsover. With Twitter now a fully private company, this is even truer. This is no different from me kicking you out of my home for something as little as just yelling "aaahhhh" really loud.

With all that said. Space Karen is full of crap. All that "free speech" nonsense has proven to be exactly that, nonsense. He went back on his own words when his feels were hurt, or when he felt it was convenient for him.

He restored my pillow guy’s account.

Donie O’Sullivan mentioned rumours of increased user tracking

But location tracking for thee, not for me

Wish they chose a different name. Post confuses search engines.

Help me out with this aeroplane tracking thing.
All aeroplanes are tracked and this information is public.
Someone is posting the public tracking data of Elon Musks private aircraft.
....
A car with Elons strangly named son was allegedly harrased.

I'm having trouble with the .... bit.
How did they track the son into a specific car and then track that car?

Dude is getting margin called because his TSLA stock is collateral for Twitter loan. The more TSLA goes down, the more he's forced to sell, making TSLA go down even more. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy ;)

Lol, at this point after seeing Musks behavior you would think Tesla stock would go up every time musk sells some more shares as investors should be happy to see a musk ownership reduction

The two arent connected except in the warped mind of Elon. Public airplane transponders have absolutely nothing to do with a privately owned vihicle. Elon just cant add 1+1 so he whips out the I own Twitter so you all can suck it card.

He's trying to halt the bleeding by offering twitter stock to new investors. At same price he bought them for ($54/share).

I was considering that the public booing he got broke his brain a bit more. Like he suddenly went from "Everyone loves and admires me except for a couple of weirdos" to "Everyone is booing me! They hate me and I'm in danger!". Thus his argument that this is data for an assassination!
