You know I would not mind watching Kimbo get KO again with a light jab.

Kimbo will probably go to Affliction, he's still a huge draw. Gina can stop not making weight now, she wasn't that good of a fighter any ways. She couldn't ever even make weight, except for the last fight where she had to get completely naked just to barely squeak by. Fuck her, she also didn't even know the name of the submission she attempted a few fights ago. She's overrated and Cyborg would have smashed her badly. She definitely got saved.

Seth's KO of Kimbo was a weird fluke, not saying he's a top fighter cos he's not. But from interviews I've seen, and knowing how hard he trains, I like the guy. And would like to see him fight more as his skill set improves. Bas still is standing behind Kimbo, you couldn't really ask for a better coach and mentor.

EXC didn't make it because they lost money, they drew huge numbers but you can't compete against UFC. It's sort of like how almost every sound card I had that wasn't from Creative went under (PAS16, GUS Max, Vortex 2)

EXC had some great fighters, Lawler, Cung Le, Baroni. They were doomed from the start you can't exist as long as UFC is around, and they'll be around forever.

Affliction is next.

and to Ocguy31 it should have been the other way around, Bisping isn't that good and Leben just couldn't catch his running ass.

EXC's failure had nothing to do with UFC. Your analogy doesn't work, as well. You only need one sound card. UFC and EXC can share the same audience. The problem was the EXC tried to expand too fast and didn't have the capital to do it, not to mention the Showtime contract was not a good one. Poor management was what led to their downfall, not UFC.

It had a lot to do with UFC, UFC fans, well a lot of them are gigantic idiots who refuse to watch anything else, and to them MMA = only UFC. EXC would have done worlds better if the average UFC fan wasn't on Dana Whites dick and didn't treat UFC like the only MMA organization in the world. That's how it works, they typically won't give anything outside of UFC even a chance. Gary Shaw's bad ideas and poor overall management didn't help though.

i disagree. ELiteXC pulled in huge numbers for the 2 showes they did on CBS. wich had nothing to do with UFC.

EliteXC was paying huge amounts for the shows and recieving very little. they just made some bad decisions.

Very few MMA fans i know are only UFC fanboys. they watched Pride, K-1, ELiteXC (well it was free wich helped) etc.

Of course they do. That is where the money is.

UFC fighters do not make a lot of money at all compared to what the organization makes. It's probably the largest disparity between any professional sports organization and its athletes. They all have 19 sponsors for a reason.

Dana White is a turd in that interview he is open to signing Kimbo if Kimbo wins some fights? Just a few weeks ago Dana was pretty much "fuck Kimbo he sucks and I would never sign him" not an exact quote but he did say he would never sign him. At the time it wasn't an option I guess seeing how EXC was paying Kimbo more that all but maybe 2 UFC fighters get per fight. Dana is a cheap fuck and would never pay anyone who isn't Liddell 500k to fight lol. Well, maybe Randy but most UFC fighters as TallBill said, don't get much money. Unless they get the KO, Sub or Fight of the night bonus some make as little as 5g's. 3 maybe 4 fights a year that's not much money. A lot of UFC fighters only train and fight part time because they can't afford to live on what they get paid.

Kimbo may end up in UFC, Dana tends to open his mouth and do exactly the opposite of what he says so it wouldn't surprise me. Shamrock... Well Ken is washed up Dana doesn't want him. And Frank really doesn't like Dana and vise versa. Maybe he can head to Affliction who knows. Carano is screwed unless Affliction adds a female division. Dana has always said he doesn't want chicks to fight in the UFC, and that's one thing I actually believe he'll stick to his word about. But on the bright side if Carano can't fight anywhere, she won't not make weight, something she only did successfully one time - and she had to get completely naked to accomplish that lol. EXC dying SAVED HER ASS from getting smashed by Cyborg!

UFC would be stupid to not sign Kimbo.

1. You draw in 10x more "casual" fans for a couple fights and potentially get them hooked.
2. If he gets destroyed, you apease the "hardcore" MMA fan who hates Kimbo anyway. And if Kimbo is legit, then he can win over everyone.
