I don't see where I said I eat this often? But yes a bowl of cereal is a nice desert. This forum would be one to judge though, seeing as how 90% of you are over 200lbs.

Come at me bro, let's arm wrastle.

fuck yes, sometimes a bowl of fruit loops or frosted flakes hits the spot.

damn, now i want.

I like Frosted Mini Wheats - especially the brown sugar one and the blueberry one.

Weetabix is great and it's a Commie Canadian cereal.

I used to eat at least two bowl fulls of frosted shredded wheat in the morning with a home made latte. But now I just don't have the desire to eat in the morning and I have to force myself to eat a damn granola bar so that my body doesn't store latter food as fat if I don't eat thinking I am starving.

You know what's a damn crime? A bussel of grain is 65 pounds and the price is around $5. Yet a fucking box of cereal cost like $6!

I just realized your name is "elevenpog" like the number, and not "elvenpog" like I always thought.

I love cereal, but have been turned to overnight oats for a quick breakfast the last year or so. So many different variations, and much healthier for you. Had peanut butter/banana this morning:

http://www.centercutcook.com/peanut-butter-and-banana-overnight-oats/

Substitute maple syrup with some brown sugar, added flax seed. I mash the banana with peanut butter into creamy deliciousness.

Same. My go-to breakfast recipe is 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup milk, 1 tablespoon brown sugar. Mix, put on a lid, let it sit in the fridge overnight. Awesome chewy texture & tastes like a milkshake. I OD'd on hot oatmeal at some point & it kinda makes me yak now, but cold overnight oatmeal is a totally different dish. I got my coworkers hooked on it too :D

I'm totally giving that a try next week.

I used to make big batches of Swedish oats, but this sounds way easier.

I only like Frosted Flakes dry, no milk. Good snack to munch on while reading a book.

I had a box of Honeycombs the other day. Those were pretty good. Wasn't a big fan when I was a kid for some reason.

I like the granola-type cereals, not the ones with just the chunks, but the kind that are more like raisin bran but with nuts & stuff.

You should receive a PM from Kaido with approximately ~97 overnight oat recipes in 5..... 4.....

But really - it's simple as can be. Not even 5 mins prep for say 4-5 days worth of breakfast. Pop open the fridge, stir quick, and you're ready to eat. Maybe throw some fresh berries on top or something. As I said previously, you actually know what's going into it... much healthier. The possibilities are almost endless.

It sounds good. And easy.

I used to mix oats, dried fruit, and almonds with honey, milk, cinnamon and nutmeg. Throw that in the fridge and take a portion to work with me over the next few days.

I was always a little worried about making more than a few days worth because of the milk in there but that probably isn't a concern now that I think about it.

That's why they're so good. I figure I'm earning enough good health karma with the bran flakes to compensate for the raisins.

Raisins themselves, like any dried fruits, are already sugar bombs. I gave them up years ago.

It's the bomb, seriously. I recommend starting out with that basic recipe (add however much brown sugar you like to get the flavor to your taste preferences). From there, you can add stuff like dried fruit (I get stuff like bulk blueberries from Costco, they soften up nicely overnight in the milk - if you use fresh or canned fruit like canned peaches or sliced banana, it's better to add in the morning so it doesn't get super mushy & brown), nuts (they also soften up), nut butter (PB, Nutella, almond butter, etc.), and so on. I have some recipes here:

http://catch42.pbworks.com/w/page/105457905/Overnight Oatmeal

Try the basic recipe first, then do a mix-in flavor the next day for your second batch if you like it. I recommend chopped walnuts & cinnamon on top of the base recipe, then slice in some bananas. Right now I'm trying to get the right sugar ratio down for lemon-blueberry (lemon juice & dehydrated blueberries, tastes like pound cake haha). Really versatile!

:whiste:

Ah, that's a good idea...how's the texture after a few days tho? I only ever do the 1/2 cup quantity & then mix in different flavors the night before.

I track my macros and I need to have a large amount of protein for breakfast to meet my protein quota for the day.
I currently drink a protein shake for breakfast.

Oatmeal and nuts/fruit have very little protein.
I still want to try the recipe. Maybe I'll mix in a scoop of whey and a little more milk.

Googled "overnight oatmeal protein" and there are a million recipes to try.

You ever had muddy buddies? That stuff is the bomb!

Absolutely, and I'm glad you call them muddy buddies and not puppy chow

*internet five*

My mom has made them every year for Christmas since I can remember. She sometimes uses Crispix but they're always good
