Electoral Count (Bush 254 Kerry 242) (Ohio to Bush?)

Page 28 - Seeking answers? Join the AnandTech community: where nearly half-a-million members share solutions and discuss the latest tech.
Interesting:

Wisconsin race for President 3075 of 3540 precincts - 87 percent
John F. Kerry Dem 1,272,376 - 50 percent
George W. Bush (i) Rep 1,254,867 - 49 percent
Ralph Nader Ind 13,853 - 1 percent
Michael Badnarik Lib 5,472 - 0 percent
David Cobb Grn 2,278 - 0 percent
Walter Brown Ind 401 - 0 percent
James Harris Ind 350 - 0 percent

17509 votes and quite a lot of votes to come in. I wouldn't call this state locked up either.

11. We are staying on!!!

We have waited four years for this, and we will wait one more night!!!

(Time to fire up another joint!)

No better way to stay optimistic than getting baked.

Damnit..there has to be a point when you can look at the numbers and simply say "Hell, he beat me...lets do the right thing". Here we have another election that is not decided on Election Day (or the next morning) simpy because someone cannot admin defeat.

some of you people are such hyprocrites. If the cards were reversed, the GOP would do the exact same thing.

lets get something straight

EVERY PERSON DESERVES TO HAVE THEIR VOTE COUNTED

GET IT?

I am not gonna say what the GOP would or wouldn't do, BUT I would expect GWB to concede if the possibilities for a victory were as unlikely as they are now for Kerry.

Only problem is the last time a situation like this arose and a republican was on "the flip side" Nixon conceeded...for the better of the nation...

The EC system is why we can not declare an absolute winner at this point...

And the ironic thing is if we got rid of the EC, Bush would have already been declared winner and Dems would be calling for the institution of an EC 😛

Preface: I voted for Kerry in a state where it didn't matter (AL), and I think he should concede for the sake of the party's chances in 2008.

I'm saying 266-252 in favor of Bush, not counting the Ohio mess. (I think Bush will win Ohio, but let's ignore that for a moment)

Kerry:
Wisconsin

Bush:
Nevada
New Mexico
Iowa

Jeezum criminity Bush is up 30k votes in NM with 99% reporting and they still aren't giving it to him. C'mon already.

Also ironic that those same Dems who were calling for the removal of EC last election, are now clinging to it as a last ditch effort to win the presidency.

Like I said earlier, if Wisconsin goes to Bush, and it's close there, Kerry could take Ohio and still lose.

Kerry will not take OH, thats been pretty well established

Sorry, still up in the air. I'm watching the Ohio News Network. Right now, its still too close to call. I want it to be Bush, but it's very tight here.
