I know that I'm the OP, but I'm now going to sleep. I still have to work tomorrow morning. I change the title to 249-207 (Ohio to Bush?)

There are also outstanding republic strong holds that have yet to report.

my (easily predictable) prediction: bush 271 kerry 267

Your prediction would be wrong because you would be giving Alaska to Kerry. It will more likely be 274-264, unless NV and IA also go Bush, which is looking more and more likely.

Am I nuts? With only 25% of precincts reporting in, Bush is only behind 3% in California. He's Leading in San Diego and Sacramento plus a host of smaller counties (no surprise in Frisco, though). Is it conceivable that he could still take Cali?

EDIT: 27% in and gap just spread to 5%...my question still stands in any event.

New numbers:

87% Reported.

51%-49%

Bush still leads.

No work for me tomorrow, so I can give the up to date info from Ohio as long as needed.

I doubt it, but maybe it will be close than most people think. Hell, he's up 3M in the popular vote.

edit: make that 3.3M.

Bush is starting to pull away in Iowa, up to 1500 vote lead.

That doesn't count all the early voting though I believe which I believe was leaked had Kerry up by 60,000 or so.

Strongly Kerry areas are some of the major ones not fully reporting yet. (Most of the Republican ones of this type have extremely small total populations.)
