Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Pre-Order Collectors Edition $49.99

Link

Xbox 360

49.99 + Shipping (Around 7.50 for 2 Day)

It's going for 69.99 at all the other sites I've seen.

Here's a Link that describes what comes with the Collector's Edition.

I fear the bugs that might go unpatched in the 360 version, might be safer to buy the PC version. That is unless they they have promised patches via Live.

The "CE" doesn't seem worth it to me. You get a fancier box, a smallish book describing the lore of the land (which will be online before you can say Cyrodiil), a "making of..." CD, and a small coin. I'll save some coin and get the regular edition.

Note: this game is only available on DVD for the PC.

Oh damn, this makes me excited. I was absolutely addicted to Morrowind a couple years back... This game looks even more amazing. I'm tempted to look for a new monitor and video card for the release 🙂.

well, at least you get a septim back.. think of it as a rebate🙂
does regular edtion inclue the map? that's the only thing I really care about.
so any offical release date?

here's link to the trailer for the "making of Oblivion" bonus DVD in case you guys haven't seen it.

Aw dammit, DVD only. And my DVD Drive motor just took a crap on me. 🙁 Good thing I've got a little bit of a wait before it comes out.

Going with the 360 version, much rather be playing on the 61in HD widescreen. They have put it off enough on the release date that I see slim chance for there to be serious bugs left.

still debating which to buy...not fun having to fight with roommates for the TV (probably the main reason i'd buy the pc version)

Spend that whole $20 and get a new one.

For those of you who haven't seen the graphics of this game, do a few searches on google to find the preview videos. They are pretty unbelievable. The physics and lighting affects in the game are some of the most advanced ever designed. It's exciting because this gives you a good idea of where things are going.

gogamer offers the PC version for pre-order and it says PC CD version, not DVD. I have no idea if that is a typo and I don't really care as I want the DVD version but if it's not that good news for those too cheap to get a new DVD drive 😛

Thanks for the link, I am ordering the PC version now. I may have to take a day off for this as well...

Amen brother! PC versions may be better, but I'd rather sit back on the nice comfy couch in front of my 60" tv. Plus, the achievement system with xbox is starting to get addicting.

I'm so excited to see such a high calibur game released only on DVD. Honestly, if you are really in the category where have a rig that can play this game, and somehow don't have a DVD drive AND can't afford to buy one, then I guess you should have thought of that before you stole the computer 😛 Really looking forward to this game.
