reading eakers' thread with all those comments about "alpha males" got me thinking... what would i be in the wolf pack? hmm. i'm not sure if i'd be alpha male... too lazy for that

I think I'd be the head worker wolf (Errr...like an XO). I can take charge if the head wolf dies but I'd rather be taking on everyday wolf issues

Well, in reference to the "XO wolf" comment, they are called the Beta wolf. The chain goes like this:
Alpha: Top of the heap, gets to mate (the others dont). Note that there is both an alpha male and an alpha female.
Beta: Second to the Alpha's, but beats down everyone else, will likely take over if the alpha dies.
Omega: The douche-bags. Dont get to mate, last to eat at a kill, etc...

I'd probably be Beta. I'm not motivated enough to be the Alpha, but I'm also a pretty big guy.
