Has anyone here ever used Eharmony and found the "Love of there life"? I was wondering if I should give it a try?

i don't see what the big deal is. lots of people don't have time or have other things that prevent them from going out to bars, clubs, etc. and such to meet people. this lets them do it from the convenience of home.

Maybe that's not eharmony's fualt, maybe you are just a freak :Q 😉

I never used eHarmony so I can't speak to that site, but I did use Match.com.

I had 2-3 "serious" relationships (i.e. lasting more than a couple of months or so 🙂 ) with women I met through Match.com before I met the one that is now my wife.

It was probably 50-50 the number I contacted first, and the number that contacted me first.

In fact my first contact from my wife was an email from her complaining about some of the answers to the questions in my profile. LOL It was like "just who do you think you are..."

Give it a shot... or try Match.com if you don't want to go though the long questionaire. (At least when I filled out Match.com's I don't remember it being that long... but that was 7 years ago. 🙂 )

My sister-in-law tried it for a while before she realized that it was a "find your mate" kind of site (I think a friend signed her up or something). Made for some good stories over Christmas dinner. 😀

Not gay-friendly.

You guys don't need a website. You have all those parades you can go to... and that low-cut jeans section of the men's department. WTF is that all about?

My brother met someone on there and was married to her within months. Its been about 6 months since then, so far so good.

I don't think it was worthless, at least you know now that there isn't anyone in the world for you and you can quit looking.

😉

I don't think any less of people who use those sites. I HATE bars (for dating)... always have, always will. I don't want to be with the type of woman (read: skank) who spends her nights in bars - and I don't want to be the type of guy who does, either.

I'm married, but when I was in college I encountered ONE woman (in a bar) who was respectable enough to justify calling a few days later (but she wouldn't stop blabbing about her ex, so I nipped that sh*t in pretty short order). Anyway, if I was single, I would have a helluva time meeting women. It used to be that you would join a gym, but it seems that the gym has become the new bar.

I found my gf on Yahoo Personals. I've been with her for over 3 years and she is the sweetest girl I've ever known.
That said, I had to sift through a lot of psychos, divorcees, women with personality issues, baggage etc and it took me over a year to find a great gal.
Eharmony might work for some people but someone needs to slap that annoying silver haired guy with the shiny suit.

A friend of mine used a dating service for a while after he and his wife divorced. I don't think it was eharmony but it was one of the more expensive services. He said it was a pussy service. He got laid more times through that service than he ever did on his own by going out to meet women. I met one of the women he met through that service and she was definitely hot! She was a little nuts though. Ironically, he met his current wife through that chick. Hehehe.
