Eggnog, like it, hate it?

I like eggnog if it is just milk, egg, sugar, nutmeg, vanilla. I don't like the gum filled crap and booze ruins it.

Eggnog is alright for one glass, after that not so much.

My fav to make this time of year is a Grasshopper. Not sure why I picked xmas to make them, but I like mint so..

Oddly enough the wiki is accurate in that I'm in Wisconsin and I do substitute ice cream in for the cream. I just use regular vanilla ice cream though, the Crème de menthe adds enough mint flavor IMO. Tastes like a Shamrock Shake (the only reason to ever stop at McD's) with a little alcohol.

Put me in the "not a fan" category.

If you don't like eggnog is there any other holiday drink you like to break out?

Eggnog is for easter and it's two beaten egg whites, two spoons of sugar to one cup of cognac, anything else isn't egg nog.

Sure you can call rum drinks with custard egg nog but it's like calling a meatloaf an orange...

And i don't touch the stuff.

Proper Gluhwein is actually pretty great though.

if you don't like the Nog you are making the wrong kind

mine takes a 5th or rye whiskey to make

tastes great

I like it a lot. Some are better than others, but I like them all. I'd rather have the convenience store kind, sans alcohol, and just drink a glass of scotch after the egg nog. I drink it like a milkshake; for dessert purposes. I'm not a fan of sweet alcohol.

Emeril had a pretty awesome nog recipe.

I remember it amounting to pretty much a bowl of thick, thick creme and half a bottle of brandy.

you could consume it with a spoon.
