Must be, eh? 😛

I dunno, I'm not too wrapped up in the whole "manual vs. manual automatic" because I think it's sort of pointless arguing with progress like that. My goal is to become so rich, I'll just order a supercar to be made specially customized with a six speed manual.

And there it is... the elitist attitude. Congratulations on holding back for an entire post before pointing your nose to the sky at anyone that welcomes technological driving aids. As if people don't have it easy enough with fancy synchronized transmissions already.

I knew your ignorant, uncomprehending attitude would immediately billet me as "an elitest" because I drive a manual. 😕

I thought I have been pretty clear: some gearboxes are definitely superior to manual, but even the Audi tiptronic, which is licensed by VW I think, is basically a torque converter, which is weak; meant for people who don't know how to drive.

I used to have the same bitchy opinion as you, til I started driving a manual. It's fun, but if you're a narrow minded individual, you'll miss out. Your loss.

Now cry your heart out.

You've done it again. I called you an elitist because of the bolded section I quoted before and the one I'm bolding now. You're making comments about what you think my experience level is, but you really don't know anything about my experience.

Calling an optional feature that can be turned on and off with the press of a button a negative selling point is asinine. Don't like it? Don't use it. Don't buy the car. Doesn't make you a better drive or more knowledgeable... all it proves is that you're judgmental and elitist.

I just looked at a 370z and imo a complete waste at 30K. I feel jipped spending that much for a high 13 second car.

you're entitled to feel it's a waste of $30k for a high 13 second car.

but how would you feel about it if it were a low 13 second car that beats a $60k porsche around a track?

Not particularly impressed. $23,000 Cobalt SS already beat the $60k porsche. I bet Cobalt SS would give 370z run for its money. SS was slightly faster than 350z.

Cobalt SS = Fwd = FTL

it may be FWD, but it'll still make your SRT and a ton of other cars look silly around a track 😛

Oh boohoo, make a big deal out of nothing, stir up some more drama to look competent in front of a bunch of forum users.

Keep crying little babay.

Yea seriously it's a beast but people will hate on cars for the most stupid reasons. Trust me, I especially know how that is.

You can't argue with the numbers. The cobalt, even if it is FWD, or the corvette, even if it has leaf springs, are fast cars. The times don't lie.

I like the Fusion. Hate the Malibu. Not real fond of the Camry either.

In all fairness, there is a woman who drives a CTS and the finish on it is quite good. I don't know why the H3 is so sucktacular.

painted in the same booth as GM's small truck, so i bet it gets the same paint formula. cadillac may have a better formula and more layers.

and the 370z is slightly faster than the 350z so it should be fairly equal with a cobalt ss BUT... with the 370z you get:

1. right wheel drive
2. probably handles better (fwda is inherently prone to understeering)
3. one of the best motors of all time (although it was recently dropped off wards)
4. MUCH nicer interior

i'd pay the extra $7k to drive a pure sports car, rather than an hopped up econobox.
