The new Ford's look better than them all.
How can they have a truck comparison and no Ford?

I think Toyota learned a lesson from Nissan that you have to compete directly with the big 3 in the full size pickup market. That means no 3/4 scale truck based on a mid-size SUV platform. No wimpy V6 or small V8 engines and don't put a Lexus interior into the thing. Make it big, stick a big motor in it, and keep it low tech to keep the cost down.
People who buy trucks to use as work trucks beat the snot out of them, so yeah, pretty much
Although, a 1/2 ton is weak once you start doing some serious work

Did you read the article? The winner of the last comparison test was pitted against the two newcomers. The F-150 lost in the last Edmunds test (where the Titan won) and hasn't been significantly updated since that time.
So why pit it against new vehicles when it would come in last place?

oh, i dunno, maybe editor turnover would result in a different result. or maybe they could actually get some people who know and use trucks to test, rather than a bunch of southern californians who wouldn't know what to do with a truck if their life depended on it.
honestly, their emphasis of track performance for trucks is remarkably ridiculous.
OMG i insulted california and so now all the california peoples are going to come and bash me with how great their state is!Originally posted by: JulesMaximus

You know what's really ridiculous? That statement right there. Yeah, California...the 6th largest economy in the world. I'm sure there's nobody here who uses a truck for work... Seriously, that's the dumbest thing I think you've ever said on these forums.

my statement applies to the editors of edmunds, who are clearly car people who dabble in off-roading, rather than construction crews, landscaping crews, ranch hands, or any of the californians who might be able to tell you a thing or two about what a truck should be. i notice that you didn't try to refute that, you only see california and something negative so you assume i'm attacking everyone.
and honestly, it's clueless southern californians trying to figure out what would appeal to people in texas and oklahoma that gave us such pieces of fugliness as the nissan titan and the new tundra.

This thread and the article are misnamed.
It isn't a comparison test if you leave out the Ford, and I would say the Dodge too.
But leaving out the Ford makes it useless as a "comparison".
