I understand that. I am asking if
Shane hooked up with both Andrea and Lori according to previous spoilers
no.

I'd imagine Andrea was puking and shaking because that was the first chance she's had to actually let the fact that she shot her sister in the head sink in.

The most disappointing of the 6.

It was just so...silly. You get in there, enjoy some down time, then have a guy demand you commit suicide with him because the generators run out of gas (why?).

Silly.

Uh... did you watch the same episode I did? It was a lot deeper than that and certainly not "silly".

If you don't understand that character's well-informed despair, that's on you.

I just hope you have the courage of your convictions and so will forego this series from now on in and will never post in this thread again.

Wow, didn't know I wasn't entitled to an opinion that obviously some people agree with. Did I say that I didn't like the series? No, I didn't like this episode.

Do you not like honest opinions? Or can all discussions only be what you like?

YES, all discussions must contain only opinions I like, unless those opinions are honest ones, which I also don't like, in which case I would be terribly conflicted. 😉 😛 😀

(Sorry, LK, I Skoorbed this thread and obviously overreacted.)

I loved every episode, including the last.

I mean, if you want to drill down into every scenario, nit and pick at every detail... Of course you can find holes. But how do you enjoy anything like that? You could do that with ANY movie, tv show, book, etc.

I truly think some people have a problem identifying with the people in their situation. People IN the crisis don't have the same perspective, and it seems natural that they would do things that don't seem rational as viewed from the 3rd person. I think I'd have a bigger problem if every scenario was perfect, every decision was 100% right, and there were no flaws in the characters behavior.

The doctor's despair, incomplete understanding of the root cause, and (seemingly) irrational demands to acquire a blood test, all made perfect sense to me.

yes. exactly. character went from "noble, save the planet, live on" to "oh, by the way, this place will decontaminate in 50 minutes, and you all gotta die with me b/c it's beautiful and perfect for our own extinction...DON'T YOU GET IT? THIS IS HOW WE DIE!! DIE WITH ME YOU ASSHOLE!" in about 2 minutes.

yeah, that episode really pissed me off. haha

yes, I get that, and would have appreciated that character. but they pulled our strings for one hour+ by waffling with this guy, then terminating him so suddenly. then putting him in the realm of "yes YOU ALL MUST DIE TOO!"

that is what got me. it was simply not reasonable. I understand that he lost everything that he loved, all he wanted...but I don't see a guy that maintained that kind of vigillance over those samples--into despair and through losing them, finally deciding to let those people in--then again deciding that they will die with him.

it was way too cheeseball.

simply put: the effort he put into continuing the work up until the end--even after the mass suicide, even after putting the bullet through his zombie wife, even after breaking protocol to let them in-still knowing that there is an escape during decontamination--his inner will to survive, if but for the benefit of humanity, doesn't, in my logical, rational mind, allow for me to suddenly decide that all must die.

it's claptrap, to be perfectly honest.

but go on about it if it is completely honest to you. that's perfectly fine.

that being said, I still enjoy the series, as I am entitled to find enjoyment by watching, growing when it missed a mark. you know, some are allowed this.
...just hope this was a "cleanse the refuse" couple of episodes. trim the fat, you know. lame characters and such.

From his first diary entry, I didn't get the impression at all that he was, or would be, a hero. The way I understood it was... The only reason he plodded on as long as he did, is because he promised his wife. Once the last decent sample was gone, he felt that he had fulfilled that promise. And with that, he was just plain done... Inner will to survive had long since left the building.

The last episode was pretty weak. The actor playing the CDC dude did a poor job. The writing was also pretty weak.

omg, enough already. We need to split this thread into two separate threads, one for people who actually like the show, and the other for all the comic book guys to pick apart every little aspect of the show.

I've read the comics and I like the show. It seems to me like most of the nitpickers haven't read them.
