Hi,
I have just purchased the lord of the rings dvd and watched it for the first time last night (awesome movie) and now I would like to back it up, but don't know the best way of doing so. I have done 2 previous back ups, but I was displeased with the quality. I have read the guides on doom9 and vcdhelp but I'm still confused. What is the best dvd ripper? I have used smartripper, it seems to work fine. And also I would like to retain as much quality as possible and ac3 5.1 sound is a must. What codec should I use? Divx? Windows media 9?(I heard the new version includes support for 5.1 audio)
thanks in advance
edit: sorry about the caps guys, I just wanted to get more attention. Now I would really appreciate it if someone would please help me out.
