<< HIS CHAMBER IN THE SILENT HALLS OF DEATH >>

<< YOU GO NOT LIKE QUARRY-SLAVE AT NIGHT >>

<< SCOURGED TO HIS DUNGEON BUT SUSTAINED AND >>

<< BY AN UNFALTERING TRUST APPROACH THE GRAVE >>

<< LIKE ONE WHO WRAPS THE DRAPERY OF HIS COUCH >>

Copy it line by line until you can write the entire thing by memory.

Write it on an index card & carry that with you for the next two days, take every opportunity to read it.

Try image assocation to get the "flow" of the paragraph (sorry, I can't remember what this technique was called), maybe imagine putting yourself in the situation of each line. After you get the images and order down, the language itself is easier to fill in the words, especially if you recite each line through.

read it out loud over and over,

I memorize lines when acting that way, and I still have pages of dialogue memorized from over a year ago.

anyway, I want to memorize a passage in ancient greek (that I have to translate correctly) for my final, good luck
