"EDIT" Memorising Paragraph For A Test! "EDIT"

what are the easiest ways that you find to Memorise a paragraph...i have been trying for 1 hour in complete silence and i bairly know 3 lines! :( their are nine lines in all

here is what i have to memorize in two days from today!

I would write out on paper each line 10 times in a row. Saying it out loud while you are writing it.

put each line on flash cards. then take the flash cards wherever you go.

Come back at it often, even if you just read it a few times, over the next few days. That'll help.

Copy it line by line until you can write the entire thing by memory.

Write it on an index card & carry that with you for the next two days, take every opportunity to read it.

Try image assocation to get the "flow" of the paragraph (sorry, I can't remember what this technique was called), maybe imagine putting yourself in the situation of each line. After you get the images and order down, the language itself is easier to fill in the words, especially if you recite each line through.

read it out loud over and over,

I memorize lines when acting that way, and I still have pages of dialogue memorized from over a year ago.

anyway, I want to memorize a passage in ancient greek (that I have to translate correctly) for my final, good luck
