edit: just beat KOTOR

"the part"? I've played it through twice (once light, once dark) and I have no idea what you're talking about.

I think I know what hes talking about. While not trying to give anything away, I think its when he finds out that little bit more about his character than he orginally had thought.

Ah, yes. That part took me by surprise too. On an unrelated note, I thought the game play was actually more interesting if you are dark. There are some really cool things that you can do if you're dark that you just can't if you're light.

I kind of saw it coming, so it wasn't a big surprise, though I wasn't 100% sure.

Good game btw 🙂, you are playing on Xbox or PC?

I bought this game for PC after hearing how good of a RPG it is, and I just can't get into it. I got to the part where you get accepted into the Jedi academy, and I just lost interest....

Seems like the game was overrated...maybe it's because I'm not a SW fan AT ALL.

Yeah, that's probably the problem. RPGs are OK but the ones my roommate plays (Neverwinter Nights and I can't for the life of me think of the name of the other one) just look dumb to me. I really can't find a main plot behind them, it pretty much just looks like you go on a bunch of miniquests without one overall theme which is what I go for. I'm a huge SW fan and the concept of RPGs interest me so it was a great way to start.

Yeah...just was really disappointed. I was leery because I'm not a SW fan at all, but everyone and their brother was saying how awesome it was. I now have a $50 RPG that I don't play....*sigh* The graphics are pretty good, and the light saber fights were cool.....at first.

My biggest thing is it seems like after you join the Jedi academy, you mission is almost too open ended. I sort of had no idea where to go, so I just chose the wookie planet. I walked around there for awhile and was like...eh.

Oh well...🙁

eh. rpgs are like that

I loved KOTOR overall, but I had to say "the part" made the veins on the side of my head pop out. As soon as the mask was removed, the controller just went flying at my television screen. No thinking, just acting. And then jacking the shot from ep4 and having baldie dude's jaw being fixed by the robot like Vader? What's up?

i loved buying those really rare crystals from that vendor on that one space station that I can't remember the names of...anyways, once you socket them in and mess around w/ other more common crystals, you start doing tons of damage. And the colors were tight as well.

Nah...most aren't. I'm currently playing NWN on one PC, and I recently finished Morrowind, and both kept my attention and I always knew basically what I was supposed to be doing. At this particular point in KOTOR, the council sort of just says...there is weird stuff going on on these planets....go check it out. When you get to the ship, there are all these worlds to go to, and not much direction.

the game is fairly linear, just go to those planets, do whatever u can do and the goal is automatically reached in the process. which is actually almost exactly like nwn when i played it.

Kotor was amazing. Insane3d all you have to do is spend more than 15 minutes on either of the 4 planets and you will direction.

Ehh...maybe. I uninstalled it and have been playing Sacred. At first it sucked, but it has started to grow on me...

Hmmm...I dunno. Seems different to me, and I'm playing NWN now. I'm thinking my dislike of anything Star Wars is probably a big part of this...
