My laptop is mainly for internet use. It's at the edge of my bed near my feet so I can wake up any time and check what's up without getting up and sitting at a desk and it also saves me the cost of getting a UPS if I only had a desktop PC for this use case. And no, mobile phones cannot be used for anything serious other than watching Youtube shorts or a bit of news reading. I have another one for work stuff ONLY because the Thinkpad is too old for Teams meetings.
Some people are disciplined and only use PCs at a desk. Me? I will use it in any condition, sitting on my bed or lying down so laptop is better for me.

A super cute girl once came and sat right next to me in a computer lab. I have zero idea why. It WAS the first day at the lab so maybe she was just clueless. Anyway, she's just sitting there checking out the PC and all I could do was look at her from the corner of my eye. And I couldn't do ANYTHING. She sensed it after a few minutes and just walked away. My beating heart finally calmed down. I have sat right next to girls (even my body touching them) since then and I have simply not cared. I'm an introvert. If someone is interested, they will talk to me otherwise I can live in peace. Doesn't bother me much.

AI generated images look real at first, then the more you look at it the more you find weirdness. Like that pic should be rows of tables but if you look at the right part the logic of the table placement doesn't make sense.
I still think it's incredible how it went from making freaky stuff that looks like a bad dream to stuff that looks semi realistic though. It will keep improving.

What was cool about the one laptop per child charity was they weren't donating the laptops to the "school" they were giving it to the "kids". Meaning they could take it home and do whatever they wanted with it.
I would like to do the same thing.
3 months ago I got a laptop with a RTX 5070 ti which is the GPU I was talking about as it's the cheapest laptop GPU with PS5Pro performance, and it's still blowing my mind how well it performs, I can play any game ever made and record gameplay with OBS without any lag whatsoever.

I wasn't going to use SSI to pay for these laptops...
I was going to wait until I get a good paying job, which would probably be in construction.
And I was thinking I'll ask for people to donate to the charity.

Only the dumb questions. Those are virtually free, with only a trivial electricity cost. Now, you might make an argument that he has an income derived from being livestock, and that should come out of his benefits, but that's overly nitpicky, when it would cost someone more to run the calcs, than just letting him "get one over on the system". Not worth the effort to even think about it.

The first gaming laptop I obtain will go to my cousin's 3 year old son.
As for the second laptop, there was a woman who lived next to my parents who use to be really nice to me, I haven't seen her since year 2012. She had like 5 kids but those kids should be adults now, but maybe she had another kid or grandkids, if so, I will give them a laptop.
