Again, even if it was from an FBI address, doesn't mean that the FBI sent it.

I'm sure you two never share files with each other or refer to each other online by your internet handles. And I'm sure your friend wouldn't evAr be smart/prankish enough to pull an FBI scare on you, and put one on himself to deflect suspicion?

so call the fbi and ask if they emailed you. Make them tell you again what it is in regards to. i.e. don't bring up the subject matter of the email until its clear that they actually are investigating you on the issues in the email.
