Just a warning, I purchased this HD at Frys a few months back and am still waiting on my rebate. Called them a few weeks ago to get an ETA and apparently it is in the "final stages" of being processed and will come in the form of a postcard.

Same here. They first sent a postcard saying rebate was rejected due to invalid serial number. BS, because Seagate's web site told me "warranty ends in 2009" with the same serial number. Called the rebate place on it, and now I'm also in the "final stages..." Whatever that means, eh? I first mailed in the rebate early September. Drive was a 200GB Seagate retail box from Fry's.

For those looking for a good deal still.. it looks dead online.

Frys has one day sale for $99 tomorrow for 250gb.
Otherwise... staples is running the 200gb with no rebates for $99 (combine with your $20 off $100) so that would be a good PM if theres any rebates available this week.
