Ok. I got approved for a Citi Platinum for students with a $2k limit. Should I still get a secured card? Thanks for recommending the Citi card guys!
Thanks,
Kishan
I really feel it is important to have good credit, but I don't know how to start. Heres some info:
18 years old.
Have my own checking account in my name with my own debit card since June 2003 at Washington Mutual. The account has about $2600 in there now, and is used CONSTANTLY. I don't have a savings account though.
Full Time student at SUNY Stony Brook (Freshman.)
I work, and have an annual income of about $18k. I also get financial aid for about $8k.
What should I do to build up good credit, and how can I get some credit cards? I spend probably about $1000 bucks a month, so it would make sense to use it towards good credit.
Thanks,
Kishan
