Lets be honest here all this money is going to the rising summer fuel costs. In other words the govt. is delivering it just in time to hand it all to oil corps for the summer.

Perfect timing for Gas to hit the 4.00 mark about the same time we are getting our "stimulus" lol.

My wife and I were in the process of getting an emergency fund saved up and this money was to join its brothers in my online savings account, but now it is being diverted towards killing off our failed attempt last year at seeding our lawn and having it professionally hydro-seeded, plus the landscaping we'll do beforehand.
 
mine is going to a few things. i need to buy a dehumidifier for the basement and the rest is going to a new grill or for party for my 10 anniversary.

any guesses which the wife wants and where its going? heh

Does that last thru till next summer and beyond? Or do you have to do that once a year? Having winters really messes up a lawn. 🙁

though every 3-4 months she does like to get a perm (why do they call it a perm!? if she has to get one every 3-4 months its not a fucking perm!)

Yep, I'll be driving a family-laden gas guzzling V8 on a 1,000 mile round trip to meet up with my parents and brother at an amusement park. Probably.
Of course, since I'm married with kids, I'm getting a pretty fat gov't check.
 
Mine is going to lower credit card debt or to get new shocks/struts in my car because I don't think my car is going to pass the NY state inspection. So I guess it would stimulate the economy if I used it on my car.

Anyone know in what order are they going to distribute the money? by SS numbers or whoever file first etc?
Doing some math, if the government does 7.4 million people a week, it would take 17.5 weeks to pay all 130 million people that file for taxes.
 
Savings account!
My savings account is not as big as it should be due to some unexpected car repairs a few months ago, so this will make up the difference.
 
It's going into savings to help pay our mortgage over the summer when my wife doesn't get a paycheck (she's a teacher).
 
I'm driving next weekend from Vegas to Tucson in my V8 truck - spending the weekend gambling on the Kentucky Derby + my own horses and rounding it out to a trip with the strip club with buddies - thankfully I'm in that first group that gets their checks auto deposited 😀
 
Dang, this is too early. I wanted it for a new video card in June, but now I'll just bank it for a while. Possibly some automotive stuff, full interior and exterior detail on my car along with that overdue oil change.

don't she have the option of 12 month pay? my wife did when she taught 3rd grade.

then when she did work in the summer it was nice. we blew that check on extra stuff we wanted.
 
I was just going to throw the money into savings, but I'm considering getting a HDTV for my Home Theater setup. I'm so jealous of the wife having the HDTV in the living room and me stuck with a vintage 1997 RPTV in the basement. I wish that thing would break.
