Economic Stimulus Check/Deposit

FINALLY got my Fed refund and corrected stim deposit. Unfortunately I will have to file for the other 300 for my son on next years return. The IRS said all the Stimulus stuff is finished for the year, to make any correction it will have to go on next years return. Still waiting for the rest of the state tax refund but am happy that I got the bulk of it at least.
 
Nothing yet, though considering I owed when I did my taxes I'm doubting I'll get anything. If it is via paper check I'm tempted to just shred it anyway.

I thought it was $300 additional for any children or claimed dependents when they first introduced the stimulus package.

Yeah my fiancee's dad jipped her. He claimed her as a dependent before I was able to do her return (she is 22 and we live together :roll🙂, which fucked her refund, and since she's 22 and a "dependent" she doesn't get a stimulus check. So in total, that's a loss of about $1000 bucks. Fucking bastard.
 
Supposed to be mailed out by the 16th. I'm hoping it was and I'll be getting it this next week then.
 
most of '07 I was either not working or the few jobs I had were paying me under the table. I earned about $2,850 taxable dollars. NO check for me, I know I didn't pay taxes on the under the table money I earned. But I did spend every penny to help stimulate the economy 🙂 Maybe in 08 I will work more legit jobs so I can get my stimulus check thing.

Both my sister and brother got their notices a week after they received their payments through direct deposit.
 
Can't remember if I posed here or not, but I'll chime in again. I got mine a few weeks back, but stashed it in my ING account until the new video cards are released in a few weeks. Here's the catch though, I am temporarily unemployed. If I get a job before the middle of June, I'm spending it on a new video card. If not, living expenses.

my GF did, seems like a waste to send out something to tell somebody they'll be getting something soon.
 
I was supposed to get mine on the 9th I think but we're having a little dispute with the IRS over a stock sale a couple of years ago. So I guess it will be a few more weeks.
 
Well finally today when I check my status on IRS.gov I get this:

Your payment of $1,200.00 is scheduled to be deposited to your bank on June 6, 2008. If you do not receive the credit by June 11, 2008, please contact us again. We are unable to take any action until then.

It's supposed to be tax free. You don't have to claim it for your 2008 taxes.
