They may have started a few days early, but it didn't take them long to get back to last possible date - at least for me. 25 is my magic number and Where's my stimulus payment? (linked above) says it will be deposited on May 9 - the last possible date that's supposed to be for everyone with numbers 21-75.

WTF.. 2 weeks after the check was supposed to be issued. Sigh. Since we used turbotax and had direct deposit, they still dont count that as direct deposit and are cutting us a paper check. What a joke.

Damn thing still doesn't work for me. I guess either it just doesn't work for me, or I'm not getting anything till the middle of June.

I did direct debit to pay my taxes, nobody ever answered my question if that qualifies me for a direct deposit stimulus payment or not.

Did you fill out the direct deposit refund information on your return? Bank account #, routing #, checking or savings account, etc? If not, then you should be getting a paper check.

"Stimulus payments will be direct deposited for taxpayers who select that option when filing their 2007 tax returns. Taxpayers who already filed and requested direct deposit won't need to do anything else to receive the stimulus payment. Taxpayers who did not request Direct Deposit for their 2007 refund will receive a paper check by mail."

I used Turbotax as well. Maybe thats why i havent gotten mine yet.

You missed the part where I did direct debit to pay my taxes. So yes, the IRS has my acct and routing numbers.

No, I didn't miss anything. One has nothing to do with the other.

Thanks for the link. Says I should have it by May 9th, but to contact them if I don't have it by the 14th.

My signature form for filing online got mailed in a bit late, I hope that doesn't hold things up.

I got mine, but the total seems odd? It was like $1532. After reading the IRS's site, I don't see how that's a possible combination of numbers you can get.

I used Turbotax as well. Maybe thats why i havent gotten mine yet.

what is the deal with turbotax and direct deposit? my ss ends in 14, so at this point i'm assuming i have no news on the irs site because they plan on sending me a check on may 23, but why? i did turbotax and direct deposit, how is that different?

My SO and I just got our direct deposits in today along with the stimulus for our child. It was the correct amount and right on schedule.
