I already know its my xbox. The drive (thompson) just hates Ninja Gaiden for some reason but insofar has not frozen in another game. I'm not about to go and spend another 70 bucks just to play Gaiden, and I expected EB to understand, since I spent 1400 there already (xbox at 300, 4 extra remotes and the dvd playback, audio/video cables, and tons of games) and it should be obvious I wasn't just trying to scam them, beating the game and returning it. I explained it all to them and was willing to bring it in, but the fvck behind the counter wouldn't do it, along with the manager. Heck, I was even going to spend more money there. They've already lost my business forever.
Give it time... It will stop playing other things. I can personally verify that a Thompson drive in working condition will have no trouble playing Ninja Gaiden, as it's what is in my 1.0 Xbox.
As we've already been over in this thread, I probably would have let you exchange it one time for a different game of the same value if you were upfront about it. That being said, that manager's position is to the letter in line with corporate policy so I can't falut him for his position. If you really want to voice your opinion, write into EB Corporate. Yelling at someone at the store level and vowing never to shop there again is going to change nothing.
And if your criteria on a place to shop at is whether or not they will let you exchange a game, you're going to have a lot of trouble finding places to shop. EB's return policy is in line with GameStop's and all of the other major retailers (Wal*Mart, Meijer, Target).
