In the off chance the cops actually end up doing something, why give him the heads up?

or ruin the fun of him never seeing lovely new computer.

Heh, this sounds like a good time for P-P-P-Powerbook mailing. When he asks tomorrow why he did not get his package, tell him that FedEx accidentally sent it via ground. That'll buy you more time to mess with him.

Just got off the phone with the Westminster PD. They are definitely looking into this ordeal. She was very happy that I told him that I shipped the computer, and asked me when he was expecting it (tomorrow).

I have a feeling they just may get this schmuck. 😀

haha I am surprised P-p-p-p-powerbook has its own WIKI!

Great job on your part, and great job by the CA PD.

I had something similar happen to me with ebay for about $800 and I also decided to contact the police, in this case, some Florida PD.

They were a bunch of retards that wouldn't help me and said I had to report the case to ebay and my local police department.

I hope to hear back from them today. If not, I am going to give them a call back.

I did just get another call from one of the victims. The money came out of their checking account and caused them to bounce some checks. They have been in contact with paypal and are working things out.

you should send something slow mail just so you can give him a tracking number.

'oops, i must have filled out the ground form at fedex'

ask the detectives if you should do that, then they can watch for someone to pick up the box.
