Ebay problem, never had this issue before...HELP! UPDATE

Ok, so i won an auction for a replaytv unit about 10 days ago, and the seller decides taht he doesn't want to accept paypal after he said he originally would, ok, no prob. So anyway, i get a postal money order and sent it out last tuesday. I get an email today that it hasn't arrived yet and that the item is being relisted. I got an email the other day saying that "it was highly improbable that my payment was sent and lost". I offered twice now to fax a copy of the receipt to prove that i paid for this item. Now he wants me to pay via paypal (which seems sketchy to me after he refused initially) and he'll send me back my money order when it is received. What do i do if he relists the item and sells it then receives and cashes my money order??

i'm kinda worried about this, does anyone know what to do??????

i am 72 with a few nasty negatives due to some problems i had when i was without a computer due to being robbed a year ago.

he is an 87. I dont know what ot do in this situation as i've never been in this kind of situation before, and now i have $250 dangling around in the wind
 
i take that back, he just relisted the item, he didn't even bother to wait for my response.

i also asked him for his phone number and was not given that either. i did however give mine, so i'm hoping i get a call

don't send this @sshole any money... if you send money to him via paypal, you can kiss that money goodbye 🙁 I would send him proof that you paid and let him deal with it

i really doubt there is a way 🙁 sorry dude. I would try and go straight to the BASTARD and get your money back... $250 is a lot of money and its tough to say exactly how you could get your money back.. its your word against his pretty much

but if the money order is cashed, and i keep the copy of the receipt that says who it was made out to and why, can't i get my $$ back based on the fact that the goods were never delivered?

where did you get the MO? if it was a bank you MIGHT be able too... it really depends

yeah, this was a postal money order, i figured the post office would be a safe bet in terms of $$ being sent. i'm not sure if i should link his new auction yet though, i'll give him 1 more chance and if i get no response, i'll post it here for the troll hunters

i'm really bothered by this, in 3 years + of ebay i've never had a problem like this. It's really disenchanting. oh well
 
if you look at the feedback he is leaving for others, he has left TONS of negative feedback to other users.... this guy is definlty shady
