Sorry, hit enter too soon.
So anyway, I sold a WoW account, 60 NE hunter on Gorgonash more than a month ago. The buyer was satisfied with the account and I received payment and withdrew it to my account.
So today 8 Jul, more than a month after I sold him the account I receive a email from paypal stating that I had a chargeback. The buyer said it was unauthorized use of a card.
However, prior to my selling of the account he had messaged me on MSN to discuss payment. I then insisted on him using ebay as I wanted seller protection. So he clearly knew he was buying the account.
He agreed and bid and won the account. He then used paypal to pay for the account and I logged every single word of this convo down, such as the secret word that i sent him, which email i should send the details to etc.
He even left positive feedback about the great account.
Now today when I message him back, he says he doesnt know what I'm talking about, and that he doesnt use paypal at all. But I have logged his exact words and when i mentioned sending him the chatlog so that he could see it himself, he stopped responding altogether.
What should I do? My paypal account is linked to a debit card, but I have read too many paypalsucks.com horror stories that I ran out of the house to the nearest ATM in a panic when i saw that email and withdrew everything. so now my debit card account has $0 in it.
Can my bank still charge me? I intend to fight this chargeback with everything that I have, how much faith should I have in PP?
Thanks in advance for your advice
