Eating fingernails: Is it unhealthy?

I useed to do it when I was little. Now I just tear em and throw them away, never use a clipper for them. Whenever I have something coming up, my nails will all be short as its just what I do when my nerves are bothering me.

In other news, I was going to go to a nudist colony the other day, but I couldn't get the wrinkles out of my birthday suit.

Really, nudist colony? WHERE?

It wasn't really a colony, per say. It was more like a private gathering at your mom's house.

Actually, I just stopped for the first time in my life two weeks ago. Instead of biting them, I just started running my teeth under the nail, and now I don't bite them anymore I don't really know how I did it, but I'm glad that I don't bite them anymore.

Most people aren't that flexible. But yeah... it's still kinda hard to bite off toenails because they're so hard.

Biting your fingernails can be a sign of iron deficiency. Try taking supplemental iron and you might stop having the urge to bite on your nails as much because they won't break or tear as much.

And some do think biting your nails causes them to grow faster.

Having too much keratin on your bloodstream is bad, but I don't think that the keratin from you nails makes it to the bloodstream intact.
