MOHAA is insanely hard on the highest difficulty. I was really sorry I picked that level, especially for the final map. Escaping a burning building, you get to the last room with a machine gun turret around the corner where you can't see it. 3 standard enemies also in the room in front of the turret. When you finally get rid of them(after multiple retrys), you head down the corridor to escape, and find 2 more enemies coming at you...sigh...Then you enable god mode after trying for 2 days to get through. and find after you eliminate all of the previously mentioned targets, you find snipers in the guard towers that will pick you off when you get outside, unless your in god mode of course ;)

A great game, simple ... its downfall is that it is short and almost wholly linear. <Maybe 8-10 hours play.

SWRC was an awesome FPS- good combat, great environments and lots of fun, with the voice actors doing an excellent job. But squad control may not be what the OP is looking for. I do hope they make a sequel to SWRC sometime.

What about Quake 4. it's linear as hell, and on the easiest difficulty, the enemies are not too hard to kill. But it's so...dark.

You could try Unreal Tournament 2004 team deathmatch with the bots on easiest mode. That way you won't get shot at (much) and you can also do some fragging. Maps are nice, weapons are good and the bot AI is decent. You could also order your team bots to cover your ass if you are really getting pwned even on easy.

The only problem is that it's quite fast, so the nausea problem may be compounded. I think there is an option to slow down the gameplay in the settings (dont remember exactly).

EDIT: oops, didn't see the 'real world, no aliens' requirements. Well, you could always choose only earth maps (teh real world of teh future) and select humans as bots.:p

Yes, I remember the very last part requires a lot of luck. You can't afford to hide behind anything since the building blows up in like five seconds, and the snipers usually kill you even when do you get outside. You just have to hope they don't hit you. I remember I reloaded it around 15 times before I managed to reach the train.

The Hitman and Thief series allow multiple playing styles, and one of them is stealth. Stealth is great if you don't want too much action, and killing is often frowned upon. Works the brain more than your trigger finger.

Deus Ex and Splinter Cell also allow stealth.

The Thief and Splinter Cell games may not involve much killing but can be very hard and unforgiving, much more than a typical FPS/TPS. A slight mistake with your movements and timing often means it's time to reload. I think they're among the last games you should look at if you want something easy. :p

I can't say much for SC, but Thief isn't that hard if you don't want it to be. Thief has difficulty settings for those that find them difficult.

Easy - minimal loot, complete basic objectives, kill anyone you wish (some exceptions)
Hard - more loot, more objectives, don't kill anyone that's unarmed
Expert - most loot, even more objectives, don't kill anyone
