I don't have the patience or skill for most FPS games, plus if I play for anything more than a short period, I get nauseous.

Anyway, what I would like to find is an easy or at least not too hard game, real world, no aliens, monsters, etc, maybe a police/sniper type of thing where I am not a target and I only have to deal with trying to get someone else.

A little off topic, a way to get rid of your motion sickness would be to play games like FPS's, and as soon as you start to feel a little bit ill, take a full 15 minute break, then try it again. This should help desensitize you.

As to the games you are looking for, what Engraver said. Not many people like or play those types of FPS's, but even fewer are looking for what you mentioned.

I don't know of any recent FPS's that let you shoot stuff without worrying about being shot. Try Call of Duty 1/2, though. Enemies usually appear in front of you, so you don't have to worry about watching your sides/back.

I did try Dramamine and that just made me sleepy! I will have to try that.

The current crop of games are just way to hard for me.

I'd suggest an FPS where you can camp from a distance and not worry about being discovered... I used to be able to do this for quite a while playing BF:1942, depending on the map. Usually you get bored though, and head in for some furious action.

You could just find the best camping spots in any number of games though :)

Crysis might actually be good, whether you believe it or not. The game lets you play any way you want. I prefer to snipe from a distance then close in and finish off stragglers. You can just circle a base and snipe its occupants from mountaintops, run in guns blazing, or silently run around the base punching people.

Bioshock is kind of surreal, but if you want something easy then it's the first game you should look at. FPSs don't come any easier than that.

You may also want to check in options to turn off things like weapon sway and the like, since that'll cut down on the amount of movement you're exposed to all the time and might help your motion sickness.

Take any FPS and use a trainer or console cheat to enable God-mode or all weapons. Or Maybe Deer Hunter, the animals don't shoot back I don't think.

That game is fairly hard from what I remember, especially some parts in the last mission. Although I generally played on the hard difficulty so it could just be that.

Pick any game out there and then google trainer.
Like cod2 trainer.

They are essentialy programs that you run before starting the game that allows you to cheat.
You can then decide how hard you want the game to be.
You can get unlimited ammo, one shot kills, unlimited health, and more.

You can turn them off and on while playing using certain key combinations.

Really helps with the harder games and can often make games more fun.

Bioshock can be easy for a veteran FPSer but not for a newbie. It?s quite possible to get overwhelmed by things like Big Daddies, turrets and bots.

MOHAA is very challenging because of its subdued physics, very accurate enemies and toned down weapons.

For something easy try the original Quake on easy difficulty. On that difficulty level there aren't many enemies and it doesn't take much to kill them. Also there's no infinite respawning and the levels are generally quite linear.

I guess something from the Deer Hunter series. Never played any of them myself, but I would imagine the deer don't shoot back.

Well, you keep respawning in it, so you can't really "lose" no matter what you do. If it comes to that, you can defeat anything in the game by just respawning over and over again and doing a slight amount of damage each time.

Although you're right that there are more things to keep track of than in other FPSs, with the upgrades and all.

how about a FPS adventure game ?

DreamFall, The Longest Journey is a "puzzle/adventure" game where it is more of a story then a 'shooter' ... actually the 'combat' is awful but easy
-it would be from the 'third person' view but once you get the hang of the camera and controls it unfolds like a story. :p

I'm suprised no one said it but Serious Sam 1st and 2nd encounter should be perfect.
On easy difficulty you have double health and armor and your health regenerates.

Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy are similar. On easy mode you get double health and armor. With Jedi Academy make sure you pick Force Heal as soon as possible. That game is amazingly easy with healing and amazingly difficult without it.

Fantastic game. Tehre's an expansion pack as well with tons more missions.

He's looking for something easy... Swat 4 is not. It's a great game, but not really what the OP is looking for. Swat is really fast action in very close quarters.

He also said he lacks patients, I would consider myself to be a pretty good overall gamer. Swat 4? I wouldn't recommend ANYONE who's a noob or easily frustrated play it. Some of those missions had me pulling my hair out and cussing and almost throwing my wireless keyboard into the wall. Swat 4 is one of the most difficult FPS's out there.

Star Wars Republic Commando.

The game is reasonably easy on Hard mode. The "complexity" is that you control a squad and MUST use them to complete the game... however, commands are basic, limited and very easy to work.

A great game, simple ... its downfall is that it is short and almost wholly linear. <Maybe 8-10 hours play.

I cant think of any real world down to earth FPS games that are easy.... Just get any game you want and play it on easy! They have varying difficuly levels for a reason. I usually play all games at normal nowadays (i used to use easy) and they challenge me sufficiently. Easy is a walk in the park in most cases.
