Just really got bad here in the DC area yesterday... how's everyone else doing?

Oh, and just so you all know, I tried windows live local (www.local.live.com) to navigate my gf around the flooding and it worked pretty well - actually got her to work in the normal time.

Need a laugh? Check out this thread about a thunderstorm in CA. ...pansies. 😀

No one is complaining about the rain in CA or saying it's a hassle of any sort, it's just RARE for it to happen.

But in any case I'd rather be a weather pansy than to live where it floods during summers 😉

we had a great weekend in NY. sunny all day Saturday, and a starry night.
no rain Sunday either.

It's a slow moving system. Here in College Park, MD it's been raining cats and dogs for the past few days. Long Island is going to get hit big time starting Wed for almost a week.

Are you on campus? Do you know how bad it is? I need to go to the library soon.

It's been on and off all day. It's muddy, but it's not flooded at all by McKeldin.

No idea. I'm over in Commons and the farthest I went was to Patterson.

Rt. 50 was pretty bad last night down towards the Bay Bridge, I saw a truck in the woods. Also saw a slew of cars in the middle grass divide with tow trucks and lots of cops. I was just thankful to have 4WD in my truck, so for the most part I didn't hydroplane (stayed under 50mph). 😉

Yeah... i'm going to be going out as little as possible in my crappy little 10 year old toyota... my tires are almost bald and my check engine light recently came on. This would be fun weather to get stuck in, eh?

drove the '96 corolla today on the highway in crappy conditions (yep its raining again... you guys'll get this rain soon). traffic was horrible because people are idiots, but otherwise it was okay. traffic was alternating between 70mph and 20mph and people weaved and braked... it was stupid and my brakes got a workout.
