Being president of the robotics club at my highschool actually did me some good when I was looking for my first internship in college. After I had some real experience, I took everything from before college off my resume.

Exactly, as a person who holds a club leadership position, I have streamlined processes, increased efficiency, reduced variance, and focused our resources on core activities.

In addition, I increased active member participation by 200% and reduced turnaround time in our communication system by 4000 time units.

If the OP is being completely serious and isn't trolling us then I think his post is a sign of a serious personality disorder. I'm not trying to diss the OP here I'm being serious. Viewing people as objects to further one's career sounds like classic psychopathy.
It also means he's a perfect candidate a for upper management.:\

I have a friend that puts on his resume "Writes code. Solves problems. Writes beautiful codes that solve hard problems". Much better than any of the craptastic meaningless buzzwords you put on your resume.

Yup, I took our robotics club from the being the worst in the region for 10 years to winning regionals and going to state. Looked good on the resume.

ummmm.... whether you have a gf or not will not determine or help you secure a job in anyway whatsoever?

Not true. Remember, there are people (lots of them) out there who care a great deal about image. Think about American presidents, have there been many (any?) that weren't married?

Ya, but wife is one thing, fiance is ok, but what's a girlfriend? Someone you're banging? Whoop-di-do, you have someone to show off and hit. The first two represent stability and willingness to commit.

The sad thing is that the one's who would use their "significant others" as objects to further their career are likely going fo fuck around on them. "I married/got with her to get a job". Duh?

Also, there are ladies out there desperate enough to be party to this thinking it's "true love". So OP is all set, just find an insecure girl. Quite a challenge.
