I would get that, but I don't like the idea of having to buy refills when I have a ton of floss at home. Isn't there a device where I can just slap on my own floss?

Yes, there used to be anyway. Ask around at drugstores. I had one when I was a kid.

I floss, but not as much as I should. At least that what my dentist tells me.

However, I brush my teeth AT LEAST 4 times a day.

I go to the dentist every 6 months and every time I do the cleaning, my gums bleed and hurt, so I know there's a big problem there. They tell me to floss every day and I've been doing that. Came back for a cleaning and it wasn't as bad, but I found out I wasn't flossing deep enough. I've been doing it right for a month now and it's a lot easier. Your gums get stronger and the pain just goes away.
