This place has the same stuff, for a bit more 49.99 and you may have to pay shipping but there is no 100 dollar limit either. I find they have great prices on lots of stuff, im not trying to thread crap just an alternative place if you can't spend a hundred

Uhm it's called protein. You know, that stuff your body needs to build muscle and maintain healthy function?

These are NOTHING like steroids. They are meal replacements, packed with lots of protein and vitamins and generally everything you need in a meal with very few calories/fat. That is a damn good price on it and for all of you buying it I would recommend mixing this stuff with water as opposed to milk. It tends to get very VERY thick when using milk.

Water is the best way to do it, the added sugar and protine that's in milk is completely unnecessary. The body can only take in 45 grams of protine at a time, and when you O.D. on sugar/carb's, you'll raise glucose level's which will end up either making you hungry and or gain weight.

Now if I was taking a Mag10 dose in public...they'd be very close to being right. That sh!t is incredible.

So how long will 42 packets last? 42 days? I may buy 2 boxes and protein powder to take advantage of the discount. There is also free shipping over $20.

Assuming you have eggs for breakfast, take these shakes before you go to bed. They'll keep your body from going catabolic and burning muscle for fuel when you go to bed. Carbs before bed prevents the secretion of hGH (growth hormone), so these (or any other meal replacement powders) so a good job.

Post-workout is a good time, too, but I ususally just eat a huge peanut butter sandwich and cottage cheese (casein protein = GOOD)

So does this stuff really work? I'm 5'10" and weigh about 195. I need to drop about 20-25lbs. I've been running a couple days a week and doing some basic weight training. Would this help me drop fat and gain a bit more muscle?

Thanks

guys this is just a meal replacement with vitamins/healthy nutrients.. :)

i usually have one an hour after a weight lifting workout and sometimes after running. FWIW, mix with 15 ounce of water, about 5 ice cubes, and use a good blender.. pretty damn good shake.

Gotta remind myself to check this out...in the middle of BFL and am running low on my Myoplex.

Regarding the taste...they all taste good if you're hungry :) otherwise...it's an acquired taste.

I don't roid but I did a cycle on Biotest Edge MAG10.

It seriously fvcked with my sleep. But over the course of two weeks I gained about 9 pounds. I lost about three due to water weight but I still am MUCH stronger than I was two weeks ago. I just ended my cycle a week ago.

I just broke 400 on a deadlift last workout - and I weigh 170 now.

EDIT: I just looked at the site and this is where I bought 3 bottles of Nitrotech plus MAG10 from. It came on time, and at a good price, so I recommend this company.

Nitrotech huh. Are you SURE you belong on this board? I thought this place was for penny pinchers like myself. Nitrotech is some of the most overpriced stuff out there. But I guess if it works 8000% better than "normal" whey protein, go for it.

I boo all muscletech products.

I agree about the people are ignorant part of your post though. Husemann slammed another supplement thread a few days ago also.

Nitrotech is VERY expensive. But on the other hand, I took Optimum Whey for nine months and gained SH!T. I swapped out to Nitrotech and I've gained serious mass, lost fat %, and kept the strength with it. I don't believe that it's THAT much better, but it is better than Simply Whey, 100% Whey, etc., - most of your 80% whey blends. The way that carbs and fats are removed from those proteins is by an increase in temperature - and in those blends that has the effect of "pre-digesting" those protein strands. Nitrotech is 97% whey isolate, as is, say, EAS Advanced Whey; when you start comparing 97% Isolate compounds they all cost the same. In fact EAS Advanced Whey does cost a bit more per lb than Nitrotech.

Muscletech stuff does work. Celltech does put on a LOT more mass than comparable creatine products but, like most creatine...it's water. Whey protein has the effect of gaining a bit at a time.

My next supplement is gonna be Cytosport Muscle Milk, the owner of my gym is a prety big fan of it.

Man you guys need to stop paying for overpriced, overhyped, misleading junk.

Most of the protein formulas out there play labeling tricks to avoid telling you how much of the good stuff (e.g. WPI) they are using and how much of the cheap stuff (casein, whey concentrate, etc.) they are using.

Go where the hardcores go, www.proteinfactory.com ..... they tell you exactly what goes into their formulas and you can even have them do custom mixes with your own flavors of choice.

From proteinfactory.com:

TASTE: Good
MIXABILITY: Good

PROTEIN ONLY
20% CFM Whey protein Isolate
20% Soy protein isolate
20% Egg Protein
20% Caseinate Protein
20% Hydrolyzed whey 1400
PRICE $6.91 per pound

Any place that sells soy protein is already considered uninformed in my book. That, right there, rules them out as a protein source because they obviously don't know what they're talking about. I take soy protein and I might as well kiss my summer gains goodbye.

Here is something I found from my supplement forum:
here are 2 items i have found. the first is from muscle media:

When lower calorie intake very often body fights back by reducing your metabolic rate. One reason this happens is your thyroid hormone (which helps regulate how many calories you burn) production goes down, and your fat loss can come to a screeching halt. Soy protein isolate may indeed be useful in this situation because studies have shown it may help minimize thyroid suppression. Supplementing with between 25 to 50 grams of soy protein isolate a day during a fat loss program may be quite beneficial.

okay, this was from musclemag:

A study tested the effects of daily ingestion of 60 gr of either whey-protein isolate or soy-protein isolate on thyroid function. The results indicated that the daily ingestion of soy-protein isolate led to disrupted thyroid activity in men (significant decrease in T4, the primary thyroid hormone), which is not conductive toward staying lean, healthy or even sane for that matter. The lesson - don't believe the hype regarding soy's health benefits.

oh and don't forget what the FDA says:

Soy proteins cardiac benefits have proved so impressive that the FDA now permits products containing at least 6.25 grams of soy protein per serving to carry the following health claims on their labels: "Diets low in saturated fats and cholesterol that include 25 grams of soy protein a day may reduce the risk of heart disease."

Just because they sell soy protein does not make them bad. What is great about them is that you can customize your own protein shake to your needs.

Without saying anything else, what do you weigh and what's your body fat percentage (DONT GUESS! If you don't know then say you don't).

Soy is fine for most people.
Soy is not fine for a strength training athelete.
