127 Billion dollars have been pissed down that hole to date and look what New Orleans has done with it. We would have been better off to just hand each of the 300,000 population there the roughly $400,000 per person that comes out to and be done with it.

Edit: From what I have seen in past earthquakes I doubt Californians themselves would just sit around wringing their hands and allow their state to lay in ruins.
