I've started working out first thing in the morning, but I always feel hungy when I wake up. What are some things that I can eat quickly and go right into my workout without upsetting my stomach?

Do you eat anything late night before bedtime? I usually don't have an appetite when I get up at 6AM. I don't eat before morning workouts, only after, even when I am hungry after getting up, because I usually will get an upset stomach.

You could try eating something like an egg sandwich or a bagel.

I'd suggest starting small. Start by having a small bite of something if you aren't used to eating in the morning before working out. If after a week it doesn't bother you have a little more until you're happy with what you're eating in the morning.

If I haven't eaten right before a workout, I eat a banana, which doesn't give me any troubles. Afterwards, I eat some meat or drink a protein shake and have a meal.

A banana and half a bagel work well for me. Something light, but with carbs, and not too....liquidy? Wait about 20-30 minutes, and go workout. I do drink something as well, a cup of water or juice usually. It's important that you eat after the workout as well.

I often find that I get really hungry on days when I work out in the morning. Eat something with a lot of fiber --oatmeal for instance. Drink lots, of course, and get some protein in right after the workout as well.

I do this every day. I either drink a protein shake + carb mix + oatmeal. Or I just eat a bowl of oatmeal and workout. Sometimes I'll eat ONE piece of bread with natural peanut butter too. I'll sometimes add orange juice and fish oil as well.

It's all about the carbs really. And if you're not doing anything really cardio intensive you can get away with more food I find.
