The only immovable object in Philly is their offense.

Rodne Barber on Todd Pinkston........, heh heh, you be the judge. I'm sorry but the Eagals have the one two punch in this game, I really think it all comes down to the Buc's O-Line and their CB's. The 9'ers were getting hits in on Johnson on almost every blitz, and with the way Philly sends the blitz so effectively I really don't think Johnson is going to be very effective. Brian Dawkins, Bobby Taylor, Troy Vincent, Blaine Bishop, all these guy's are known for their high interception rate and speed. I don't think the bucs recievers stand a chance in this match up. The bucs have to many obvious weak points and Andy Ried will most likely attack them the whole game. All in all the Eagals have the advantage with a more even line-up of great players on offense and defense, if the Bucs are going to win this one their defense is really going to have to make alot of plays. I'm betting on alot of injuries.

Oh Mighty Mike, football seer and prognosticator non-pareil, what are you, the bastard love spawn of Carnac the maginificent and Chris Collingsworth's uglier, even more clueless sister? :D

First of all, this week: THE BUCS STOP HERE!!!

Then, next week, Mike, $50 sez your Wascal Waiders won't beat the spread, Ted.

I'm a BUCs fan. Big time.
BUT, I'm going to say that the Bucs only hope is to get up a towndown or better early and let the Defence dictate the game.
If Philly gets a lead Tampa is in big trouble

I can't help but think big plays, turnovers and lucky breaks will play the major factor as well.

If Philly gets a fumble or interception early and scores. It will be a long day for Tampa Bay.

Good luck to the Bucs though...

I've been sitting back here watching mwilding's dipshit comments, especially pertaining to Brad Johnson.

Let's do a little comparing (Keeping in mind McNabb missed a few with the broken ankle, stats from NFL.com)

QUARTERBACK RATING
Brad Johnson 92.9
McNabb 86.0
WINNER: Brad Johnson

COMPLETION PERCENTAGE:
Brad Johnson 62.3
McNabb 58.4
WINNER: Brad Johnson

YARDS PER GAME:
Brad Johnson 225.2
McNabb 212.3
WINNER: Brad Johnson

TOTAL SACKS: (Remember, McNabb has 3 less games)
Brad Johnson 21
McNabb 28 (With 3 LESS games)
SACKED LESS: Brad Johnson

LONGEST PASS THIS YEAR:
Brad Johnson 76yds
McNabb 59yds
SACKED LESS: Brad Johnson

(The rest of the stats are invalid due to the amount of games missed by McNabb.)

Yes, it will be a very tough game.
Yes, there's a fair chance we will lose (Bucs)

BUT, if both teams bring their A-game, the Eagles will fall. Do I think my Bucs will bring that game? I hope, but get your head from your ass, and give Brad the respect he deserves.

And Perk.. Care to wager? I wanna get my $20.00 back! :p

2000 NFL Playoffs- Eagles vs Bucs -->21-3 Eagles
2001 NFL Playoffs- Eagles vs Bucs -->31-9 Eagles
2002 Regular Season- Eagles vs Bucs --> 20-10 Eagles (around 50 degrees)

Love how the Bucs seem to shrivel up when at the Vet, especially when the temperature gets nice and frosty.

You'd think someone would learn something. Eagles vs Bucs --> 27-14 Eagles baby

Bucs stop 49ers, start talking about Eagles
By Mike Bruton
Inquirer Staff Writer

TAMPA, Fla. - Depending on whom you believe, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers really want to play the Eagles - or they really don't.

There were plenty of testimonials in the Tampa Bay dressing room proclaiming a desire to face the Birds after the Bucs thumped the San Francisco 49ers, 31-6, in an NFC divisional playoff game yesterday. Still, according to one source, things were different a day or so earlier.

A prominent national network media source who had access to Bucs players in the last few days said some of them were overheard saying they hoped the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Eagles in their divisional playoff game Saturday night. According to the source, the Bucs didn't want to return to Philadelphia.

Now, they have to, because of the Eagles' victory over Atlanta. So, yesterday, no Bucs player was owning up to having been shy about Philadelphia. All you heard and saw were respect, bravado and a tiny hint of swagger.

Gotta agree with you, Mark, Brad Johnson has been more than respectable for the Bucs this year, but, HEY, this IS an official Trash Talk Thread, isn't it? :D

Anyway, I don't agree that if "both teams bring their A-game, the Eagles will fall". The Birds will be flying high, and the Bucs may not even make it intact past the Iggles fans in the parking lot pre-game, let alone do much of anything on the frozen concrete turf-like substance of the Vet during the extended drinking opportunity of the actual game itself.

As for your last plaintive plea, Mark, sure as shootin', I "care to wager", but, no, my Buick Buddy, you ain't coming close to getting your $20 back from last game. Has history taught you nothing? :D

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gee.. They actually wanted the worse team to win?? So we could punch Vick's card like we did during the regular season? Sure, who wouldn't want to play a weaker team?

Vick AND Owens are our bitches this year, Hopefully the Feebles will be ours too.. :D

(ps.. I was rooting for ATL too.. ;))

Like I said. Tampa Bay will need some breaks early. In the long run, Phillys defense is a little quicker than tampa bays.
Also, in previous meetings with Philly, Tampa Bays defense ran out of gas in the 4th quarter. So Tampa will likely have to have the lead and be controlling the ball in the 4th for them to win.

I don't think Philly's D is faster than the Bucs, especially up front. Also, the Tampa front four is better than Philly's.

I am really looking forward to this game. The Eagles fans seem to think that winning this game is a forgone conclusion. We all know that isn't always the case (see Miami fans, Rams fans). The Bucs looked MAD on Sunday. I anticipate seeing the same thing this weekend.

I will have to disagree..... Tampa has the quickest front 7 in the game... hands down. I do believe the Phillys secondary is stronger than Tampa's. I think whoever scores first will win the game.

Eagles may be a little more difficult to beat, but I think in the end the Bucs will woop them!!!!!

The eagles are going to see Warren Sapp on the offense and quiver in fear.

Bucs D-line have 3 pro-bowlers and the defensive player of the year. The eagles o-line better step up and not get McNabb injured AGAIN. There is a reason he was injured in the first place. Brad Johnson has been healthy all season because of his line protecting him.

Ried is also half the coach Gruden is.

Ummmmmmmm, nothing you said makes any sense. The Eagles Offensive O-line has 2 pro bowlers and dominated the Bucs in week 7. The defensive player of the year is a linebacker not a D-lineman (although he does line up there from time to time). Brad Johnson is a pussy and is going to get hurt. Andy Reid is coach of the year - for a reason.

Try again.
