Rodne Barber on Todd Pinkston........, heh heh, you be the judge. I'm sorry but the Eagals have the one two punch in this game, I really think it all comes down to the Buc's O-Line and their CB's. The 9'ers were getting hits in on Johnson on almost every blitz, and with the way Philly sends the blitz so effectively I really don't think Johnson is going to be very effective. Brian Dawkins, Bobby Taylor, Troy Vincent, Blaine Bishop, all these guy's are known for their high interception rate and speed. I don't think the bucs recievers stand a chance in this match up. The bucs have to many obvious weak points and Andy Ried will most likely attack them the whole game. All in all the Eagals have the advantage with a more even line-up of great players on offense and defense, if the Bucs are going to win this one their defense is really going to have to make alot of plays. I'm betting on alot of injuries.

Bucs D-line have 3 pro-bowlers and the defensive player of the year. The eagles o-line better step up and not get McNabb injured AGAIN. There is a reason he was injured in the first place. Brad Johnson has been healthy all season because of his line protecting him.

Ried is also half the coach Gruden is.
Ummmmmmmm, nothing you said makes any sense. The Eagles Offensive O-line has 2 pro bowlers and dominated the Bucs in week 7. The defensive player of the year is a linebacker not a D-lineman (although he does line up there from time to time). Brad Johnson is a pussy and is going to get hurt. Andy Reid is coach of the year - for a reason.

Try again.

<sigh>

A pussy? I love a fair debate, but you refuse to acknowledge his commitment and savvy in the game of football. Pussy? Playing with cracked ribs? Gouged eyeball? See that gash in his forehead last weekend? How he picked apart (albeit with a weakened secondary) the 49's when he returned all stitched up? Sure, he didn't have an opportunity to play on a bad ankle (McNabb's VERY lucky that didn't aggravate the injury beyond repair) but he's all guts, a leader, and a hell of a QB. So, taking the stats below into account, McNabb (Which I give respect to, I have an open mind) is even MORE of a "pussy" than Johnson, as you call them.

Let me re-iterate from my previous response to your ignorance, some more new stats added at bottom:

Let's do a little comparing (Keeping in mind McNabb missed a few with the broken ankle, stats from NFL.com)

QUARTERBACK RATING
Brad Johnson 92.9
McNabb 86.0
WINNER: Brad Johnson

COMPLETION PERCENTAGE:
Brad Johnson 62.3
McNabb 58.4
WINNER: Brad Johnson

YARDS PER GAME:
Brad Johnson 225.2
McNabb 212.3
WINNER: Brad Johnson

TOTAL SACKS: (Remember, McNabb has 3 less games)
Brad Johnson 21
McNabb 28 (With 3 LESS games)
SACKED LESS: Brad Johnson

LONGEST PASS THIS YEAR:
Brad Johnson 76yds
McNabb 59yds
LONGEST PASS: Brad Johnson (Pretty useless stat, I agree)

(The rest of the stats are invalid due to the amount of games missed by McNabb.)

NEW STATS - LIFETIME
COMPLETION PERCENTAGE:
Brad Johnson 61.7
McNabb 56.9
WINNER: Brad Johnson

YARDS PER ATTEMPT:
Brad Johnson 6.9
McNabb 6.0
WINNER: Brad Johnson

QUARTERBACK RATING:
Brad Johnson 84.6
McNabb 79.3
WINNER: Brad Johnson

Ok, I tried to find SOME stat (other than the avg ones above, they are fair) that wasn't biased because Brad's been in the league so long.. (totals are useless, averages are the only way to go)

I found ONE that favors McNabb:
LIFETIME AVG RUSHING YARDS:
Brad Johnson 2.5
McNabb 6.8
WINNER: Donovan McNabb

There ya go.. Woooh!! Your QB can run! BFD.. :|

Here are a few stats for you Bucs fans to chew on for a few days before you lose:

The Buccaneers have never won a game in which the temperature at kickoff was below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (0-17). Overall, Tampa Bay is 5-31 all-time when the kickoff temperature reads at 50 degrees or below.

Hold on to your butts.

Weren't the packers like 35-0 in temp under 32 degrees, and had never been beaten at home in the playoffs? Then the falcons stomped on them. Stats = almost meaningless

Bucks defense is going to destroy the Eagle.

If the game is half as good as footballs been for the past of couple weeks, I'll be really happy.

Not anymore. They beat Chicago 15-0 in the last week of the season and it was below 40 when that game was played.

Yeah I know stats are meaningless, in fact I picked the Falcons to beat GB at home regardless of all those stats. This was just interesting to point out I thought.

But I still think the Bucs have the odds stacked against them, and will lose.

LOL, the Bears don't count. My sister's little league swim team could beat the Bears.

Fine, Brad Johnson isn't a pussy.

In 10 games Mcnabb has 23 TDs

In 13 games Johnson has 22 TDs

This game is about points, because we both know whoever scores the most wins.

It wasn't the packers it was Favre himself, as far as the temp goes. And the playoff home losses WAS true. Also as I said earlier. The bucs did beat the bears in chicago earlier this year, and I believe the temp was in the low 30's at kickoff. therefore your stat is wrong anyways.

Edit: Now that I think about it Favre is 35-2 now because they lost to ATL in the first round and they also lost to Minn at home and the temp was 28 at kickoff.

Leave it to a Jock who majored in Basket Weaving 101 while at college to quote "The Thunderdome" LOL:)

True enough, but Warren Sapp's interview on HBO made Hugh Douglass look like a Rhodes Scholar. Not to mention he said - and I quote - "I hate that fvcking city" I hope that Jon Runyan watches that bit over and over...

I also hope that the Eagles lose in a heartbreaking fashion. A nice missed call at the end of the game would lead the idiots in the stands to tear the Vet apart.

I have no doubt "da iggles" fans in the 700 level will tear the Vet apart, after all, this is the last game to be played in that stadium. It won't really matter whether they win or lose, it's going to suck to be on the cleaning crew come Monday.

The Bucs looked MAD on Sunday. I anticipate seeing the same thing this weekend.

I think you're going to see less mad looks and more "sh!t it's cold out here" looks come Sunday ;)

Good ole John Runyan. The only player on the Eagles that I like. Mostly because I have played baskteball with him on a number of occasions and he went to our rival high school back in Flint, MI (plus he is a Wolverine!). :D

wow, people are really getting heated about this one.

i think eagles will win, and i think SuperSix's stats are bit skewed.
you gotta figure McNabb can actually run unlike Johnson, where was the stats for that? total yards pass/run? touch downs per game etc. (too lazy to look up the numbers, but i have a feeling McNabb might be leading on those cats)
but if your talking smack, it usually tends to be skewed..

but in the end, i'm a Det Lions fan, so i have no say in the game either way. I'm just want to see a good game, but i'm thinking it'll be a boring old defensive game in the blistering cold of the Vet.

I'll talk stats...

Brad Johnson Career Rushing Yards: 472 7 TDs
(That's 472 in 11 seasons, folks)

Donovan Mcnab Career Rushing Yards: 1884 14 TDs
(That's in only 4 seasons)

And we all know a QB is hired to run the ball, eh junior? They only do that when they don't have a clue what else to do, or don't manage the game well.. Is that your best?

No, my best is several posts previous. Mcnabb scores more touchdowns. Points = wins

A first grade teacher in Philadelphia explains to her class that she is
an Eagles fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are
Eagles fans.
Everyone in the class raises their hand, except one little girl. The
teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says, "Janie, why didn't you
raise your hand?"

"Because I'm not a Eagles fan," she replied.

The teacher, still shocked, asked, "Well, if you are not a Eagles fan,
then who are you a fan of?"

"I am an Bucs fan, and proud of it," Janie replied.

The teacher could not believe her ears. "Janie, why are you a Bucs fan?"

"Because my Mom is a Bucs fan, and my dad is a Bucs fan, so I'm a Bucs
fan too!"

"Well," said the teacher in an obviously annoyed tone, "that is no
reason for you to be a Bucs fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your Mom was a moron and your dad was a moron, what would you be then?"

"Then," Janie smiled, "we'd be Eagles fans."

Yea.. cold weather sucks for us Floridians..

I just hope the bucs remembered to stock up on turtlenecks and stockings at their local GAP.

I predict Bucs win. Bucs have a new coach and a new style of play. GO BUCS!
