Yea right. Do you LIVE in this city? Philly has some of the STUPIDEST fans around. They love their teams - but hate their players the second they do something wrong. If you didn't hear the onslaught of "bench McNabb for our 3rd stringer" cries last year, you are deaf. Its all you heard. To deny THAT is idiotic.

Either way .. I love football season. :)

I hope the Eagles / Steelers game is going to be a good one. I think the Steelers are going to have a pretty solid run game going with Duce and the Bus against an Eagles D that can give up a decent amount on the ground. I do think the Eagles secondary might have a good game against a rookie QB tho, I like Roethlisberger so far, he's done some pretty impressive things, but I can see him throwing a pick or two in this game, and that might be big. Going to be a cool game to watch. :)

I'm done arguing with you Deeko, you have nothing but a flame the Eagles / Eagles fans attitude, and it's pointless to get involved with that.

Yea, cuz you're right, I probably don't have any experience with Eagles fans, I dont live on 32/market or anything. What could I possibly know?

Face it, Eagles fans are stupid, and many of them(INCLUDING PROMINANT PHILLY NEWSPAPERS) were calling for McNabb to be benched. Plain and simple, straight facts, its the way it was.

I really hate this argument .. what's the point in comparing past teams with current teams? I can see comparing the superbowls the Pats have won in the last 3 years with the fact that Philly hasn't won one, but come on, so <insert favorite team> won a superbowl over a decade ago, that has absolutely nothing to do with football today. Besides, I'm pretty content with the Eagles 1960 NFL Championship

The point is, sir, that every year Eagles fans have enormous expectations only to see them disappear when it counts. Have you not learned anything from the previous 3 NFC championship games?

uhh what do you want us to say

go Eagles even though we are going to choke

i guess we should just hand the superbowl trophy to NE right now and end the season right

Exactly. The whole point in being a fan is cheering for a team through the good and the bad. So what if the Eagels have lost in in the NFC Championship game the last 3 years, I have faith that they will not do it this year. They're a better team than last year, and the years previous. As mchammer187 said, we may as well just give the trophys away to teams like the Pats and the Yanks eh?

If you are a casual fan then yes, but if you are a diehard then you realize that the regular season means crap. As long as you get to the playoffs, that is when the games count. This isn't college football.

To get pumped about beating chicago is idiotic.

Oh and Deeko is dead on. You all know that too... Run Scott Rolen out of town, yeah he sucks.

you are going to hear ridiculous things about any team if you live in their market

you don't think anyone has anything dumb to say about the cowboys in dallas?

i live in redskins country right now and to me everyone is retarded like the Joe Gibbs is going to take the skins to the playoffs this year or their going 10-6

your opinion is obscured because
1. You live in Philadelphia (ie 90% of the people are eagles fans)
2. You hate the eagles / are a dallas fan

every team has RABID fans

i bet if you lived in boston everyone would be saying that red sox are gonna win the WS
how is this any different than philadelphia. Correct answer : it isn't

Btw - Jets will beat NE this weekend. You can take that to the bank. I think.
What!? "You can take that to the bank, I THINK"?!?! What a hearty endorsement

And now you're bringing up the Rolen issue? If you ever followed the Phillies you would know that they couldn't afford Rolen. Thome is better offensively anyway. Here, drink some more h8terade.

A rookie, 4th on their depth chart. And they still rack up 600 yards of offense. That is insane, no matter how you look at it, no matter who they're playing.

The Eagles don't always continue to improve. Have you forgotten how ugly the game against the pitiful Chicago Bears was? They also manage to get another started placed on IR about every other week.

I'm not saying the Vikes will destroy them. I'm saying its a good matchup, and if you're not stupid, you can't say the Eagles are a runaway favorite.
I don't think you watched the game. Philly didn't give up a TD until late in the 4th Quarter when their defense was tired, and gave up a measly 16 points. How's that for your 600+ yards of offense? Philly is a stone cold lock to beat Minnesota if both teams are healthy. Also, which RB are you talking about on Minny, b/c vs Philly Minnesota had their 2nd stringer (Ontario) for that game, not their 4th. Please clarify. Using the excuse that Minnesota didn't even have their starting RB vs Philly is a weak excuse for getting manhandled by Philly's D.

Eagles are doing awesome this year, no questioning that fact, and they are easily the NFC favorites and the #2 team after the Pats.

You're comparing Jim Thome's off year to Rolen's best? hmmmm. Why don't you compare their stats after being signed by their clubs?

Jim Thome averages a HR every 14 AB's career, only 1AB more than Bonds and 2 more than Babe Ruth, hmmmmm.

The fact that you didn't know that the Phillies couldn't afford Rolen shows your ignorance. I bet you thought Philly should have resigned Troy Vincent, too? Well, they got the Freak and TO and now Vincent's out of commission. Furthermore, I'd take Thome over Rolen any day, he's a dangerous hitter without anyone like Pujols, Rentaria, Walker, and Edmonds to protect him in a lineup (he has more 8 more HR's than Rolen in an off year). hmmmm.

If letting them get into the Red Zone a pissload of times is manhandling them, yes, they got manhandled.

I wouldn't count on that happening again. Just cuz you held them to field goals one game, doesn't mean it will happen again.

Also, don't forget that Culpepper is nearly a God when playing in a dome. Hope you get homefield against them in the playoffs.....

1. rolen was run out of town, money was the excuse given by management. (Please ask a knowledgeable fan)
2. To think thome is in a class with Ruth and Bonds, that pretty much sealed the deal that talking to you is worthless.
3. NFL has a salary cap, so comparing that is ridiculous
4. Arod hit less homers in a year where he was surrounded by sheffield and jeter. Sooo, that argument makes no sense as well.

The Eagles are one of the top teams in the NFC, but they will not go unbeaten. In the postseason, everyone is saying "oh we beat the Vikings already"...umm...well yes, but the game was close, and you all know it. That game could have gone either way, as can the game in the playoffs(if they play).

The Ravens don't have a chance with Jamal Lewis. Neither does the Pack if they continue to play at their current level.

I call it now: Eagles are winning 15 games this season.

Looks to be like you just hate our team.

BTW, speaking of the Vikings, do you really think Culpepper will continue to have the greatest passing season of all time?
