It isn't piracy (or even online DRM) that's the issue. It's a lack of compelling, quality games that's the issue.

online DRM is not the main issue, it is a result of the other points.

games goes poorly, Publishers assume pirating, put in place things to stop it.

Pitty they missed the memo about the section of customers which want quality games vs the people that buy anything with a larger number on the end.

Consumers don't deal with Monsanto, or don't realize they are dealing with them. Most of them have probably never heard of the company.

yeap. unless you live in a farming area you wont' hear of them. Also Monsento owns the government (really. look at who runs monsento..) so nobody wants to piss them off.

Just looked up the Wikipedia entry for Monsanto. The amount of evil from this company goes on and on and on.

you really don't have a clue. reading it is one thing. living in a farming area and dealing with farmers? none of them i know like monsanto but they HAVE TO deal with them.

EA won the Golden Poo award at The Consumerist last year (Blog arm of Consumer Reports.) It's a #1 seed in their 32 team playoff this year for worst company in America.

That vote makes so little sense when EA was worse than bank of america last year.

Bank of America; helped crash the economy, cost billions in taxpayer dollars, and throw people out on the street through shitty business practices.
EA: makes video games some people don't like

EA is more evil?? Really?!

This just shows who really vote in these things.

So HAVING to deal with them makes them not evil?

Actually EA could be a good thing. It's an asset to the gaming industry to have some players who are able to develop games at high investment requirements.

If they put some in charge who loves the art of quality games and also has a business sense (e.g. forget the exclusive to Origin strategy ASAP) it could really take off. They certainly should have the nessesary talent mass and IP.

I'm not holding my breath though.
