Yeah with 3 sticks. If that doesnt work then the fault may lie in trying to run 3 sticks in dual channel mode as Termie suggested earlier.

You could try testing these options.

Test only the Corsair stick by itself to see if it can handle the settings. If not it may be faulty or might just need more voltage. If it does indeed work then Im guessing its the dual channel mode not allowing it.

Also you could test 1xSuperTalent stick paired with 1xCrucial stick to see if the crucial can take the overclock. This way you could just buy another crucial stick for $17 and run both pairs in dual channel. Might save you some money instead of shelling out for a 2gb Corsair stick.

Good idea. Since the Crucial is a 6400 stick, I'm pretty sure it can handle the speed that your SuperTalent handled, since it actually isn't an overclock to run that at 800.

And here's a link to another stick of Crucial 6400: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148203

The reviews are really bad on that memory, actually. Wonder if that's the model of memory you have.

You tried running the two SuperTalents and the 1 Corsair stick and it failed, right? That's a bummer. I would think that might work since it's good ram, but maybe it's the mismatch in ram sizes.

Yea, right now i'm thinking of just settling with 3.6GHz w/4 GB (Corsair and supertalent).

200MHz is not worth all the trouble considering an upgrade is due soon anyways. If the pricing on SB is out of my range and i have to drop down to an X4, i might as well order another XMS2 module to go with the new mobo.

Yeah I've been watching Mwave because they had some amazing deals on DDR2 and DDR3 and next month I'm due for a $15 coupon. I paid $30 for 4gb of the ram in my sig by using their coupons. Otherwise I was looking at $45 for 1x2gb of ddr2 I just couldnt justify it for older tech.
