E6600 is 2.4Ghz at stock.

x2-3800 it took dvd rebuilder a couple of seconds over 100 minutes
E6600 C2D it took dvd rebuilder a little over 65 minutes

Thats a 35% improvement so im happy i just wish i would have went with a mobo with a little more bling like the Asus P5w Dh

It seems to extrapolate well...

Now that E6600 up to 3.2ghz and watch that time be in around 45minutes...

Yes, you are correct that the result are inline with expectations. Also, BTW:
E6600 = 2.4 Ghz. E6700 = 2.66 Ghz.

Edit: dexvx beat me to it

Yep you are right!! my goof....It was the E6700 they tested versus the FX62...

Foot inserted in mouth...It seems to scale slightly better then I thought then...especially if the 3800+ was also oc'd to 2.2 or 2.4ghz

OP...

I have the board just NO E6600 from tankguys yetand I am not that impatient (in the middle of a home closing and packing) to pay a premium for an OEM chip...

That just dawned on me thanks dexvx which mean my x2-3800 was overclocked to 2.2 i used the 10% overclock settings in the bios of the Asus A8n5x mobo i had
