Well I'm certainly not an art critic or anything. My limited experience comes from High School AP art and very limited Art History / Art Education courses in college, but I think the execution is poor. There's a "fine line" between being interestingly stylized showing flow / rhythm / emotion and looking sloppy. I think if the artist had taken it further into the stylized realm, then it would work better. The way it is now, it's hard to tell if imperfections like those were intentional or if they were mistakes.

I'm of the opinion that it looks like a mistake / poor execution rather than intentional design.

It looks terrible though. The art is fine, but it looks really stupid on a car.

I know about art deco, but I'm saying that portion of his design look like they're not as consistent and exact as they could be. The squares at the bottom by his name look loose and freehand while other parts look very precise.

Having portions that are very exact and portions that are freehand within the same design makes is look inconsistent. If the whole thing was done freehand, I think it would look better. If the whole thing was done more precisely, I think it would look better. It's the mix of both that makes it seem like parts were mistakes.

Perhaps... That's why I wanted to find a particular horn. It used geometric shapes of various size and geometry precision. I'm not that picky with art. I go solely on what I like seeing, as I'm completely uneducated. I think I also tend to overlook flaws in the context of the greater whole. I like the theme and "feel" of that particular car, so I can overlook imperfect details.

Honestly this. It looks like one of those fuzzy black and white felt color-by-numbers pictures I buy my kids every once in a while.
 
The back doesn't look that bad actually. But the front is truly staggering. That is very awesome.

The art is being protected via five-or-so layers of wax.

found it by scanning over the document for when he got vandalized

The art is being protected via five-or-so layers of wax. I have contacted Sharpie and the paint is oil-based and UV resistant already so the art can be washed with mild detergent. Since I do not daily drive the car, she spends most of her time under a cover in a carport so I am not too worried about sun fading. I do carry a Sharpie in the glove box for quick emergency touch-ups.
