Birth control pills did work for my sister.

There is a old saying. The more oily you are the more sexually active you are or will be. 😉

My forehead always gets oily no matter what I try. I'm hoping one day I'll grow out of it...

Back in High School there was this one girl that I had a crush on. One day when I was talking to her before class she tells me that I have the shiniest forehead that she's ever seen. That was a real self-esteem booster, I can tell you that!

My wife used to do Mary Kay and I learned a lot about my face. Madthumbs is right... Oil is your skin's way of protecting itself while it heals. My face is normally greasy for an hour or so after I wash it with normal soap. With shampoo, it's much less... barely greasy for only 15 min or so. Then blotting with a towel takes care of what little is there.

Want no more grease? NEVER use anything but water and your hands to clean your face. Of course, you'll be dirty, and your skin will smell, but that's the way your skin is made. Who had soap before civilization???

Try the shampoo thing for a week and see. You won't like it at first because your skin will feel different. But I think you'll like it over time.

I cat attest to the shampoo thing. I ran out of Noxima and soap makes my face really really dry so I tried using shampoo to wash my face. It surprised me how after only a day or two my face was nowhere near as oily as it used to be.

dry skin -> oil production. sensitive skin -> oil production.

maybe your skin is trying to cook itself =P

well here's my current system:
wash my face 2-3 times/day with just water when it feels oily, then blot it dry.
wash with cetaphil at night, blot dry and wait 20mins to make sure, then apply tazorac.
take 100mg minocycline in the morning and evening.'

sometimes when I wash my face at night, I use more cetaphil than other times...wonder if that's it.
then again, I think these people suggesting stress might be right, because I do get more oily when I feel stressed

you wash your face too often.

yeah, increases in washing frequency that then drop off can often lead to your body producing more oils. not necessarily to be blames on the soap, but on the washing itself. its the same with hair. wash your hair once a week and it will get greasy a lot slower than if you wash it every day then skip a day.
