E^5 MEETING DECK!!

As I posted just a short while ago, sorry TeAm E^5, I lost P3 cruncher!! Motherboard blew a few caps. Havent decided just what to do yet, but hopefully within a week or so, a bigger badder cruncher will replace it!!

Go E^5!!

Hehe, I can't believe that my E^5 actually stuck 😀

In racing news: I have just decided to upgrade my entire home network. I have some of the chips and mobo's now, others coming later. Unfortunately, all the computers usually have 50+% being used just by the programs that are running on them ( E-mail, Web servers, game servers, ect ) so upgrading will got give as many WU's as normal. Here is the breakdown.

Duron 600@~1.0 (Watercooled T2 game server. My first watercooling attempt 😀 )
Duron 750@950 (E-mail server #1)
AMD K6-2 500 (E-mail server #2)
AMD K6 266 (Internal Fileserver)
Thunderbird 900@900 (T2 game server #2)
Thunderbird 1.0@1.4 AXIA core (FTP server)
Thunderbird 1.2@1.2 (Internal Router for Internet Sharing)
Thunderbird 900@900 (Father's "learning 2000" computer 😀)
Thunderbird 900@900 (Lan Box)

Total WU's from network ( Average Daily's ) was a crappy 6.5, 90% from the "learning 2000" and my Lanbox. Yesterday I picked up 4 1600+ chips, and started upgrading my network. The 2 game servers and both e-mail servers are now at 1600+ 😀. I have already sent in 3 times my normal WU load today. The other 5 systems will be upgraded as I get time and $$. Expect 2 more 1600+'s in the next 2 weeks 😀

Woot!

For sure, it's a lot easier to type in!! 🙂

Good for you on the upgrades, you'll have anice little stable there! It will also help in this race!!!!😀

I wanted to upgrade one of my PCs but I decided to upgrade my kitchen with a new backdoor! 🙂

I realize that it won't directly produce more WUs, but it will make the house more secure, meaning it's more likely I can hold onto the investment in equipment I have, AND because it'll eliminate some cold air drafts, that extra electricity can fuel the PCs instead. 😉

So from that perspective, my new door really is helping my SETI production. :Q

NetworkMan, I am still looking for a dishwasher for you 😀 If you need a storm door, check out Home Depot, They have some good, but cheap Larson's on clearance. Check it out 😀

<edit>
Man, my spelling sux 🙂

You mean to say that 2 back doors are better protection???😉

ooh I think we touched a nerve. But Dont worry guys for it is only the person who has never tried that fails. 😉
And now I shall exit your little club house and go see what the Captain Crunch Crunch Berry Club House is up too.

You don't want to know, trust me 😀

Dasm! Who left all these scales all over the deck?!? :disgust:

Soni - have you been busy scaling Cardassians again? Dude, please clean up the mess when you're done.. not only do those things smell terrible, but they look ugly too! 😀

Woot, still pulling away! 🙂

Nice going tEam,

I might be able to had a few crunchers to the total by next week, 9-10 more WU's a day. 😀

Let's keep 'em comin' in!!!!

Anyone know what sorta increase in production would be got by going from a single Celeron 500 (66mhz FSB) to dual Celeron 366's at 433 or 466?

BTW, NMW, YGPM 🙂

Hmm.. most people abbreviate my name as nwm, but anyway.. um, I saw your PM and answered it, but you're gonna be disappointed. 🙁

😀Still pulling away!!!😀
A little slower day, but almost 30 WU's more than the next team! 🙂

🙂🙂 Let's keep it up! 🙂🙂

How did I miss this thread?!? :Q

Something just showed up... 🙂

Hehe... 🙂

A customer's Dell PowerEdge 2500 1GHz PIII that I have to set up and hot stage. I'll have to run the old Seti Stabilizer Benchmarker service for a while to make sure this puppy is fit for the customer. 🙂

I've also got two old PII 400's sitting here that are awaiting a dualie slot-1 MB I just bought. OK... OK... PII 400's... Big deal, right? Well, that's about four more wu's per day.

And those PII 400's? They were just replaced with Celeron II 800's... 😀

I meant NWM, but when rushingly bumping when you're already 5 minutes late you tend to make some mistakes!

😉🙂

Aparantly my mum says that the person i'm borrowing the Celeron 500 in my server off of says i can pick up PPGA Celerons for about £10 each, yet to find out where, but then i will upgrade to dualie board to a pair of Celery sticks rather than just one! 🙂

Well...stopped by my in-laws this evening as @Home service here is soon to be switched to AT&T and my father-in-law wanted me to read the email he'd received (to be sure he was not going to lose his connection).

Anyway, found out the CLI was stuck trying to register (asking for my email address)!! :Q I don't know how that happened as it had been running fine. But, I did manage to get that Celery 500 running again with a 5 WU cache.

I get that pretty often. Not sure what does it. Is it running ME? I upgraded to XP, and that has stopped happening (knock on wood!)
