DX11 Benchmark

Found the following DX11 benchmark, see what you get on your card, here's my results:

My system: x4 620@3,25 :: GTX 460/786@869core.

I got 2840 with the same settings as you, but I have MLAA on. Let me turn it off and see what I get.

Q9300@3.0GHz
5870 Crossfire@stock

I got 3044 with MLAA off. Doesn't look like it's using Crossfire very much, if at all. The most the second card ever pulled was 5.42 amps, while a lot of the time it turned off. The primary card got as high as 61.55 amps. I got these numbers from HWMonitor.

Odd benchmark.

Core i5 750 @ 3.2 GHz, GTX 460 1GB at 800, score was 2200 and change. Wicked the core and mem clock up a bit and just barely nailed down 2000.

Norton Flags the exe as a virus.

If it weren't for my idiot brother I wouldn't be using an AV.

Anyway.
Got 1862 with a stock 5770, Phenom X3 720 @ 3.1Ghz

um, wow, 61.55 amps is a LOT more current than most 5870 users have for the psu. hx 620 is only 51 a for example, you'd need about a 730a psu for that single. card. most likely hwmonitor is confused and is showing the current from both cards combined, but even then I don't think that even two 5870's get enough power to run 61.55 amps.

That's at 1.44V, not 12V. 😉 I'm a EE that designs electronics, so I know when the magic smoke is about to come pouring out! 🙂

Also, how is my little Q9300 system beating out the i7's? I got 3088 when running it one more time last night. I figured someone would come in and steal my thunder. Maybe I need to turn off Crossfire and see if it is indeed making a difference.

somehow this fluid dynamics sim doesn't respond well to gtx architecture, upping ram/core don't seem to buy you much here.

right, Norton, better get a real AV. keep using Norton and it'll make a mess of your system ;] but decent score for a stock 57xx. I think this bench seriously favors ATI cards.

This ain't fair, I'd petition NV to pay them $2million to 're-optimiza' their code base so NV cards run at least 30% faster than any ATI card. ;]

Are you guys running that benchmark at 1024 X 600?

It is going to be severely CPU bottlenecked I guess, anyway I will run it once I get back home.

Interesting benchmark. It would be nice to see those kind of flame effects in games.

i'm getting this error

"this application has failed to start because d2d11.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem."

reinstalled and still same problem.

Assuming you installed this in system shown in your signature:

Because this is a DX 11 benchmark.. and XP does no support DX 11.

AMD 940BE @ 3.0 GHz.

2404 = 811MHz GTX 460
2452 = 1001MHz GTX 460

AMD 940BE @ 3.6 GHz.

2459 = 811MHz GTX 460
221945 = 902MHz GTX 460

Yeah, not a CPU test at all. No activity other than switching the models.

Got around a 1930 with my system. Card is a 5770 factory OCed to 875/1225.
