Hi,
This is the first time I am writing in.
I seem to be having problem with the DVD ROM that I am using.
Its a Sony DVD ROM and there weren't any support site in the SONY site for it.
Therefore after reading all those solution given in this forum I have decided to post it here.
Problem: I am not able to read certain DVDs even though the region should be correct. I bought a region 3 DVD for starwars episode one. Came with 2 DVDs.
The first DVD was played without problem (It was great). But the second DVD couldn't be played.
I had a friend to test it out for me on a DVD player it was fine he said.
I checked the Region setting in WinDVD it did not state anything therefore I clicked on 3 (Asia)
But it still remains the same. Please someone help me.
I purchased Planet of the Apes as well...both DVD couldn't work. They are Dual layers DVDs all of them.
I even disabled the DMA thing following the WinDVD advise. (Running on Win XP)
Thanks for helping me out.
