standalones. For this price these are pretty good. Don't put any important data on them just movies or
games will be OK.

Those are bad notions to live by. I have the same drive as you, but if burning at a lower speed will yeild greater results of defect free burns, I'd gladly do it.

I'm thinking of ordering 100pk, but shipping to Canada is like $15; then there is the concern of border patrol putting a hefty levy.

Question: Any Canadians ordered these and not have to pay out the nose on tax?

I bought 50 and am using the 1300A with 1.0B firmware, non hacked. Burned three so far, the first was at 4x and had many errors, the next I burned at 2x and got 32 read errors on one and 37 on the other. I have YiJhan Discs, no stars on them. These discs were not burned with movies, rather with data. I was wondering if anybody had any luck with them and what firmware they were using on their 1300As?

If I could burn these are 1x I would but Nero doesn't seem to want to let the 1300A burn at that speed.

wow this deal is still going..

im bout halfway done with my 100pack i originally boughta few months ago..

they have been working great for DVD movies..

as mentioned above by someone.. if u have problems.. either u got a messed up batched.. or u dont know what your doing.. and my contribution.. u one real picky mofo.. and.. u got some weak dvd readers..

again my movies burned on these DVD-Rs at 4x with my BTC 1008IM play flawlessly on my $20 DVD player.. from beginnning to end..
Also play great on my XBOX with samsung drive..

However.. one problem.. weird problem.. is these are not good for XBOX games.. i had to burn them at 1x.. and even then sometimes it would have trouble reading at some points.. and this is with the elite best DVD drive u can get on an XBOX.. the samsung drive.. i tried it on another xbox with a thomson.. and my old philips dvd drive.. and both dont even read..

but for movies.. these are just fine..

I bought these 2 times.

One time i got disc with the star on the top. Those work great

Then i ordered 100more and got just the plain white on top and those didn't seem to be so great for movies, xbox, etc.

But both were able to do 4x burn. Although i only burn at 1x or 2x thinking that i needed to do so for better results but result was the same.

But for data backups and such, these would work great.

Ya, a friend of mine tried to print one of these in an Epson 300 printer........... wasn't pretty at all......... 4 days later, he took windex and wiped the ink off. :)

this product is "thermal printable" not "inkjet printable" that is why your friend could not print on the disc! thermal printable does require a special printer, which normally is for those who is working on some professional project.

Thanks for the responses on the Epson R200 question...looks like I'll have to get rid of an extra pack of 100. I ended up buying some 4x ProDisc from Supermedia for $48.5 shipped. They're inkjet printable and supposedly Pioneer certified.

Anyone know which is a better surface to print on...silver or white...inkjet printables?

these stuff getting cheaper all the time! :D this cannot be real

a few media will always be defective as I have some coaster already out of 50 burns and wondering WTF? It had lines, blurred or scratches EEK! but even high quality brand have this problems too so nothing is perfect..

BTW, this is the last day so don't wait any longer cause you won't see it for 24.30 for at least another month. ALSO, this media burns better at 6x then it is at 8x so don't try 8x unless you want to take more chances on a few unreadable/corrupted burns
