Is this deal still on??? the link doesn't work for me and would anyone know if these would work in my OPTORITE DD0201 4X +/- ???
The deal is alive but the link is broken. Just go into dvd media through the storefront.

And I've been using these discs on my Optorite DD0201, no problems at all. I have the Yi Jhan's.

Yi jhan burnt with hacked firmware on NEC 2500A at 6x and 8x no go. Verify failed with DVD decrypter
at 20%(4x to 6x jump) and all standalone players stuck at 20%. No problems with 4x speed burning.

How much did it took for 8x burn? In my case it started with 4x and jumped to 6x at 20% and went up
to 6.9x and dropped to 4x at around 50% till it finished. It never reached 8x which shows that this
media is not good for 8x or 6x(you may be lucky sometimes) burning. No isuues with 4x. This is on
NEC 2500A. Its better to stick with 4x.

Have burned 50 disks in 2 days.

My disks have the white star on them
here is the disk info:
Manufacturer Maybe = Longten Tech. Co., Ltd.
SMART-BURN Speed Limit = 4.0X (Write)

I have a liteon 811s burner.

No coasters yet!

UPDATE!

2 bad disks. They burned fine, no errors, but it freezes up on my Sony ns325 dvd player.

ALOT more than 2 bad disks. I am finally getting to watching my movies. And MOST of them have errors. Alot of screen freezes. Skips, and cant finish the movie.

I wont be buying these disks anymore... You get what you pay for...

Here's what I do with my Lite-On 811s:
Set your burn speed back to 2X and select the validate option for every burn. Leave a little room at the end of the DVD because that is where 90% of the bad blocks occur. I stick a couple of trailers, deleted scenes or other features at the end of my DVD movie rips.
If you forget to validate, run the Nero CDSpeed utility (or comparable like DVDInfo) and do a surface scan. Mark the DVD's that fail validation or have bad blocks per the scan so you can give them to friends and relatives. I've found that depending on the DVD player used, most of my 2X burns that fail validation or have bad blocks still play fine, you just can't copy them. Perfect gifts for the technically challenged.
I'm about half way through my first 100 batch of these disks and I get about 1 in 5 with validate and/or bad block errors. Like you, my first couple of burns were at 4X without any errors and I made the mistake of thinking they would all burn at 4X.

I have the exact same problem with my 4x burns on my 811s. I totally didn't watch the entire movies until i had ripped /burned about 10 of them. that was like a weeks worth of work, and now i realize they all suck and are pretty much unwatchable from mid-movie onward.

I am going to try 1x or 2x burning and see if that's better.

They have the Sonic 1-4x for $38/100 which I just ordered. For a couple bucks more, these are supposed to be rated at 4x by default. We'll see what I get!

I ordered a 50 pack of the cheap DVD-R's from this site, back in April and I STILL have not received them. They replied once or twice to my emails and now they have completely stopped responding.

they were shipped UPS, but the shipment never made it, it still shows the package sitting in San Antonio. UPS refuses to help me, they say they only deal with the shipper. Well the shipper is refusing to cooperate. Screw shop4tech

Not worth a dollar for a 100 of them in my opinion. highly visual flaws and defects in the media.

but you still get what you paid for right? :D
